Disney decided to pick up the new CON movies they're making. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this. Happy in part because that means good money behind it (and with WETA on board, they need money bigtime to pull some of the scenes off well) but sad because Disney ruins things... and is a big huge corporation with way too much control already. I'm not sure I want it having control over my beloved CON. Though, I'm guessing, it won't be quite as blatently religious in that case. But who knows? Walden Media isn't known for being secular. But I don't mind the blatentness of the original work... so long as they don't add more or hit the audience over the head with things (instead of a stone table for the sacrifice, let's make it a cross! *gag*) But I think in the end it will be okay. I just find it interesting. Whatever happens, I think I'll probably still love the BBC movies better. Especially if they screw up the centaurs the way Harry Potter movie 1 did *shudder*
Disney To Distribute, Co-finance LWW
3/1/2004: It's official! Dick Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, and Cary Granat, chief executive officer of Walden Media announced today that the Walt Disney Studios has entered into an agreement with Walden Media to co-finance and distribute the long-awaited motion picture "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".

On a completely unrelated note, I found tonight's episode of Futurama highly delightful. I called boyfriend in the middle laughing, "You didn't tell me this was an Mpreg!" Silly boyfriend did not know term, but still he should have warned me. LOL
It's funny... Star Wars Qui or Obi Mpregs are starting to grow on me just a little. I still can't stand it in any other characters, though. I've read a couple with Legolas that just don't do it for me, no matter how much angst is involved. But now that I think about it, I started a novel in... gods... 8th grade? 7th grade? About a pregnant guy. Fantasy world. Long story, really. The details would drive you all mad, I think. I had a really strange idea of what made a good story back then. Though there were some fantastic scenes as I recall... and he was sick when he was giving birth so he wasn't allowed to see the baby for a week or so until his fever and coughing died down. But spent that week falling in love, so I suppose it was worth it. LOL
Anyway, I don't think I mind them so much when it's Qui or Obi... there's just SO much weakness involved... and angst... and hurting... and comforting... and passion... that gets me through the absurdity of it all. Especially when cuddling's involved. I just can't see it with anyone else. 'Specially Methos and Duncan *rolls eyes* LOL
