Holding off

tarotgalI think I'm going to hold off a day or two in posting the Remus fic. I intended to write a Friday Fic today but got thrown off by Secret Window and Stargate and What Women Want.
Anyway, I'm still catching up with comments and all here and onlist. And two new stories have been posted to sneezefic... so I want to make sure those get face time before I post mine. Ha! Imagine that! Holding off on posting because the sneezefic list is TOO busy! :-) Also I've found comments aren't as plentiful on weekends, so I really wanted to be sure the other fics were seen by all first.
Plus, I'm still debating the title, though I think it will indeed be 'Reception'. 'Receptions' is tempting... but I'm not sure it's needed. We'll see. It's 30 pages and not a huge amount of dialogue, so editing is a bitch. I keep finding mistakes every time I skim it. So holding off for a day or two isn't going to hurt anything, I think. Plus I'm still not sure if it's too cheesey in parts and thus embarrassing to share. LOL In advanced creative writing in high school we had a guy who had what he called the 'Cheese Meter' and he'd flex his hand to imitate a blinking light at different levels to indicate how horribly cheesey a story/situation was. I am ashamed to say this one would be right at the top of the scale. So I'm hesitant to share. LOL! Of all the ways of measuring a story, and with a bloody minor in creative writing, you'd think I'd have outgrown the Cheese Meter by now, but it's one of those things that makes an impact, you know? heehee Plus I had a mad crush on the guy, so maybe that helps me remember it? LOL
