Don't feel compelled to help me out with this beta request... this is an odd request for here :-)

But I need a beta for my Harry/Neville story. It's a non-sneezefic, though there's a lot of angsty!Harry and a happy ending so it's sort of H/C if you're into heavy angst. It's rated R (for nudity and one sort of-sex scene) and takes place during their last year at Hogwarts (so technically they're adults age-wise in England)

I am NOT finished with the fic but I need a beta for it under conditions for the challenge and I trust you all so much more than complete strangers, so I thought I'd ask here first. It's not done yet, and will probably be done over the weekend or Monday at the latest. Thus, the beta will need to get it back to me within a day so I'll have time to change things and submit it.

Again, no pressure, but I'd rather ask people here I trust rather than strangers. But I'll ask strangers if no one jumps here. So no guilt needs to be felt if you're actually still reading this post and are still thinking of not replying. LOL

In addition, there are some very very very minor pairings including Seamus/Dean, Neville/Ginny, and Ron/Hermione. So if those squick you too much, obviously you wouldn't want to read this, but they each get a sentence or two so they're hardly a big point in the story (the sweet het makes me sick so I limit it for my own sanity as well. LOL)

Hello :o) I would be happy to help you out, but I have to let you know that I've never betaed for the HP fandom before. Actually, I'm not a part of the HP fandom at all, so if you wanted the fic betaed for grammar and consistency, I can do that, but if you want a beta more for the fandom-characterisation, then I can't really help you out on that... Feel free to tell me thanks, but no thanks! And anyone else who wants to volunteer for beta and has the experience can speak up *g* I'll just be your absolute last resort :o)

Thank you much for the offer! But I would probably like a little help in the characterization and universe area... simply because I've practically no experience writing a fic of this nature and am not really sure it's going where it needs to go. And since I got another offer from someone who's more familiar with the fandom, I'm going to go with that. But I can't tell you how wonderful it was to wake up expecting no one to help me out and find two wonderful replies *Huge HUGS* But if something falls through, it's good to know I can count on you to help, especially since you've betaed for me before and give me such fantastic feedback on my stories *more hugs* Thank you, though!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're still in need of a beta, Hon, I'd be happy to do it. I'm rather of a HP fanatic, so this would be right up my alley. I've also beta'd in the past, though for SW, as well as written a few well received fics (though I can't get myself to write sneezefic, grrr, lol), so, as I am done rambling on trying to prove myself less than incompetent in the fanfiction world, if you want my help, it's yours. :)

I check that one about once every three or four days... more if I'm expecting something (like this, heehee) But I've got about 8 different e-mail accounts, so I'll e-mail you back through the easiest for me.
