Didn't get any real work done, sadly. I'll be kicking myself for that tomorrow, I'm sure.
But got fun things done, which I really needed after my return home yesterday.
Got my Harry/Neville story back betaed and edited it. Am just about ready to submit it. Fun fun! Bet I won't get a single comment on it, but I'm glad I wrote it anyway. :-)
Am currently writing a short S/R drabble. Just popped into my head. Don't know where it's going, but I know it's going to be short.
Started an Obi story for the weekly hatching. It's either going to be really long and boring, or I need to figure out what to do with it. I packed WAY too much into it in the foreshadowing and either need to change my style or take some things out. But it's a nice story thus far. *snuggles stubborn and sneezey Obi*
Am overjoyed that Ewan's television show will be on Bravo! I am SO there! :-) *snuggles Bravo* heehee!
I got my package from Think Geek today. With my special binary shirt, stickers for boyfriend, and the Common Cold. *snuggles the rhinovirus* I figure, hell, it's my fetish, what's more inspiring than having a cold to snuggle up with while I write? LOL It's my favorite color, too. Wonder if that means anything... LOL No, probably not. But it's terribly cute and a LOT bigger than I thought it would be. I'm glad I splurged and bought it for myself. It's a happy thing. It'll be hard to explain it to someone else, but as I currently live alone, that's not much of a problem. I'll just put it on top of my monitor with three of my beanie babies and think yummy thoughts about guys with colds... *G* Yes, I'm silly. But I figure if you're going to be silly, might as well go all the way, right?
I was right in the middle of typing up my Harry/Neville sex scene on my parents' computer Monday night, and my grandfather called to say hello. Because he's sweet like that. And he asked what I was writing. I wasn't about to tell him "a gay sex shower scene" as that would probably give him a heart attack, and I didn't want to get into the concept of fanfic. So I managed something like "It's a story using characters from the Harry Potter books" and he started going off about Scotland (where my novels are set, he knows) so I was safe after that. But I suddenly felt very glad that he refuses to get the internet. He visited my site a few times waaaay back when it was young and innocent. I can't imagine his reaction if he were to see it now.
Okay, back to drunk puppies. I'm determined to write every cliche in the book now just to piss people off. Except for the mating for life thing. I never thought werewolves did that, because real wolvies don't. But all the other cliches, yeah, I'm determined to write them now. Bwa ha ha ha ha! Beware my Remy and Siri!

Date: 2004-04-15 12:26 am (UTC)heehee Well, problem is, if I keep everything in- with the amount of detail I've started the fic with- it could easily be 50 pages by the time it's done and that would take much, much more than a week or two to write. And I've got some MUCH yummier Obi stories I'm putting on hold for it... so it's a hard decision for me. In the end, it will get written the way it wants to get written, I think :-)

I considered getting the bookworm but it's so scary looking to me. Ick! LOL So I won't. The dust mite is rather cute though... and ties in with allergies... LOL

Date: 2004-04-15 10:47 pm (UTC)Just as a note, if you do a Yahoo or Google search on GIANTMicrobes, you can find a BUNCH of sites selling them, some slightly less expensive(ranging from $5.50-$5.95) so if you're looking to save a little, you might want to poke around and look at S&H, too. Just FYI

The Common Cold one is a little less than 5inches wide and a little less than 4 inches tall if you count the little stick-outy parts of it. It fits into my hand but isn't small; I'd like to say it's the size of my hand. It's really fuzzy and cute, though *G*
