From a guy on an Oxygen originals commercial: "Did you just spank me?"
Hum. Is that really one of those questions you need to ask during foreplay? I mean, is a spank really that difficult to identify? You either felt a hand slap your butt or you didn't, right? LOL *am trying not to get inspired... am trying HARD*
My cat is freaking out. Doing the running from room to room thing again. Ah, now he's attacking a penny on my rug. When he gets emotional, and talks a lot, he leaves his mouth open (because it's too much effort to shut it between meows) So he's walking around with his mouth hanging open. People make fun of him for that. LOL But he's my baby, and I just think he's being efficient!
Okay, so all you SG-1 fans out there... I keep running into avators/icons of strangers on various LJ communities and the icons have SG1 characters in the cartoonish style of the Potter Puppet Pals. Is there actually a source these icons are being made from, or are they just icons? Any clue? I adore the PPP movies... and thought the SG1 versions would be hilarious if it actually exists. So I thought I'd ask you all who frequent that fandom much more than I do. Thanks!! :-)
Cat is stretched out on bed now. It's his bed now, as I haven't used it in months. I think he enjoys the fact that I'm not messing his little nest of blankets and pillows up every night.

This was taken a little while ago, but that's the general idea... just felt like sharing. He's my baby :-)

Date: 2004-04-22 12:33 am (UTC)Also, I just wanted to say 'thanks a lot' for introducing me to that really addictive game, 'Zuma'. I just spent the last 2 and a half hours playing when I should have been sleeping! *G*
Zuma & kitties
Date: 2004-04-22 01:02 am (UTC)I've got to the point where I reach level 4-4 and die on purpose twice just so I have more time on that (the last) round. Yeah. I think 150,000 is impossible. Think they just put it there to taunt me. Yep.
I go through phases with MSN/Zone games. Bejeweled was my first love... then Alchemy(which I still adore to death-I've got, like, 8 different strategies). Then some of the others on the side. The word games, especially. Ohhh and Mah Jong Tiles. I used to play that while listening to the HP books on mp3. Then Mozaki Blocks for a while. I've pretty much tried them all. I like playing them in between things or while I have a few minutes before a show comes on, etc. But Zuma's by far my current favorite, though it's very time consuimg. LOL I was halfway through a game yesterday when cocky!Ani popped into my head. Damn those plot bunnies... LOL
ANYWAY, I'm glad you're enjoying it. :-)
Awwwwwwwwww! Then Eowyn-kitty must be adorable!!!
heehee My Maxwell(so named because I was in my Velvet Goldmine phase when he found me) is part tabby and part... something Asian. He talks like there's no tomorrow and cries just like a Siamese. And his profile, especially, resembles those of Asian breeds more than US tabbies. But his markings and all are pretty common(he's got stripes, but is called a spotted tabby). I love tabbies. My first cat ever was an orange/brown one with a big target marking on his one side. heehee But, yeah, tabbies really have some of the sweetest personalities out there. Very lovable.
I've honestly never had another cat who sleeps the way he does... though he has a lot of 'curled up in a ball' variations. I find it fascinating how different some cats are when it comes to comfy sleepy positions. And, yet, it's even more fascinating that there are some so similar.
Hmmmmm..... methinks I study this too much because I'd love nothing more than to lounge around all day and find new ways of sleeping...

Date: 2004-04-22 12:18 pm (UTC)Yeah... I've been playing this a couple times a day for a month or two now. I used to be thrilled to get to 3-1. Now I'm depressed if I die any time before my staged deaths in 4-4.
Okay... hints... yes, I've got 'em. I'm a dork.
1- shoot the balls in the middle more than the ones in the back and the font. If you shoot the ones in the front of the line, you're just a step ahead. If you shoot the ones in the back(it pushes from the back) then you just buy yourself a few seconds. But if you shoot the ones in the middle, you create gaps and give yourself lots of extra seconds before the balls in the back catch those in the front. You've got more time to look for patterns and think.
2- Create combos. So if you see RRYR (R-red, Y-yellow) try and NOT eliminate the reds first. Build up the Yellows to get RRYYR and then if you hit it in the middle with another Yellow, you'll have a combination which is 130 instead of just 30 points. Bigger combinations are more points. The yellows will go, and then the reds. If you're a dork like me, you start building combinations in the early levels (where it goes slower) to build points early. So when you see YRRYYRRYYRYYRRYY you start thinking "hit the middle yellow"
3-Gaps. Creating gaps in the line are my new big thing. You can shoot balls through gaps to hit other parts of the line for major points. As I tend to shoot in the middle anyway, this works well for me. On different levels, there are different opportunities to shoot through gaps. It's easiest on stages 1(spiral) and 4(multiple lines) and hardest on 3(spiral with the weird 2 spots balls hide behind).
4- Coins and special balls- obviously, these are all good. Try for them, but not too much. Don't want to hurt yourself just for a small bit of help. I find the Pause balls to be very helpful, though.
5- If you score a lot of points, they yell Zuma and the balls stop coming onto the screen so you can clear them. But after you get 'Zuma' if you want to score big points keep trying for coins, through-gap hits and combos.
6- Try to finish as far back in the line as possible. If you have a choice (say you have two groups of balls on the screen go for the closest to the front first and then the one in back). It's 100 points a spot for how far back you are. And it's only 30 points for each 3 balls you shoot. So the math works best if you clear them as far back as possible rather than creating combos at the end as it's constantly moving closer
7- Combos also make the line move backwards- which is always helpful!
8- If you've got a gap you want to fill (i.e. connect the front and back near the end to get further away from the front and score more points) shoot a ball so that it's the same color on both ends of the gap. The front section will move back to connect. So, like, RRYBGGY -gap- BGRRY shoot Blue to the left of the gap or Yellow to the right of the gap to connect them to be RRYBGGYYBGRRY
9- Don't think too much at the beginning of a level. Just eliminate as many balls as possible (with combos if possible). It's best to just be quick and then look for opportunities when they present themselves.
10- There are only 4 levels (with the same four stages repeated within) at least in the non-deluxe game. So there's a finite goal to work up to. I find 3-3 to be the hardest, for some reason. *shrug*
11- On stage 4 (the one with two different lines) I like to alternate from one to the other. That way if I shoot a combo in one or a big string of balls in one and the line moves to accomodate, I can work on the other without worrying about shooting a ball in the wrong place or waiting for it to catch up. I like the rhythm of going back and forth, and it keeps things even (although the far right one is always a little longer, just because of where it's placed and the back parts are hard to get to without gaps)
12- I like it with the sound on, because there's a nice sound it makes when it get too close to being eaten... and because gap balls and combos sound differently. But I am MUCH quicker and less rushed with the sound off.
Okay... that's it. I think. I'll stop showing my dorkiness now. And probably half of this at least made no sense to you anyway, right? LOL *slinks away*

Date: 2004-04-22 01:08 am (UTC)heehee... sorry... I should have put a warning on the game. I suppose I've just been sucked into it too deeply to know better. LOL The pretty colored balls and froggy can wait to make room for sleep though. G'night! :-)

Date: 2004-04-22 12:26 pm (UTC)Mine's named Maxwell. After Maxwell Demon from Velvet Goldmine. *G* Course after I named him that, I found out Maxwell is the second most common cat name in the US and the most common in Australia, etc. I still like it, though. Not sure he does. I call him everything from Maxie-poodle to Maxwellian (take-off on Orwellian, the adjective referring to ideas/styles similar to George Orwell)
Everyone around me just calls him Max, though.
Oh, by the way, I saw a commercial for something this morning coming out on Disney DVD on Tuesday... um... Ghosts of the Abyss. That's it. It's James Cameron going to Titanic to make his Imax film. I didn't see it in theaters, and I know there's a lot of Titanic documentaries out there, but I bet it looks very pretty in DVD quality.

Date: 2004-04-22 06:12 pm (UTC)Awwww. I love fat kitties. *huggles* I mean, as long as they're happy, you know? Not overfed, obviously, but all the cats I've ever had have had such hard lives on the street, fighting for food and all, that food is one thing I won't ever restrict when it comes to kitties. My aunt and uncle had a 26pound long-haired gray cat named Harry.
Yours sounds so cute!!! With the gray and white- awwwwwwwwwwww!
And the meowing! LOL! I can imagine it perfectly!! LOL My cat barks similarly sometimes. "Merowufff! Ufff!" With that panty, exasperated-ness.
