Stuff... and Star Blazers

tarotgalWent over to Boyfriend's tonight and watched an episode of Highlander(Haunted... oohhh sexy angry Richie) and the first episode of 'Star Blazers' (Space Cruiser Yamato, from the '70s) which is an anime Boyfriend was into as a kid. I bought him the DVD set of it for his graduation and birthday.
I'd asked him if there were any yaoi possibilities for Star Blazers and he said, oh yes, the two main characters, definitely. They fight over this girl the whole time. Which, ah, doesn't sound very yaoi-ish to me. But having just seen the first episode. OH MY GODS. I've never SEEN such a phallic show in my LIFE! The whole time there were these giant canons shooting out laser beams... or the ovlong ship breaking through this hole... or their uniforms:
Here is the crew of good guys. Note the arrows on their uniforms pointing down to their crotches... where a big X on a belt buckle awaits, instructing others on where to go first to undress them... and note the bell-bottom uniforms. LOL But.. yeah... ARROWS point to their crotches.
And the head bad guy? Sounds SO icredibly gay. I mean, really. I'm SURE he's gay. He's got man servants who massage him when he's half naked and everything. LOL
Here's the ship going through another hole... I mean, seriously, how does one NOT think that looks sexual???
And the bad guy... getting massaged by a man.
LOL But the two main guys spent the whole episode touching and angsty. One lost his brother that episode so he was all sad, and the other spent time consoling him or give him comforting squeezes. And then they ended with a cute hand-squeeze. And then the chica came over and put her hand on theirs... growl... but, yeah, definite slash possibilities. LOL This is hilarious. Must write fanfic right away! LOL I can't belive this was for little kids... LMAO. Not to mention that Mark (one of the two lead guys) has the japanese name Daisuke Shima. Come on. It *begs* me to slash them! LOL
