Holy shite...

tarotgalIt's impossibly strange what I've found thus far as I'm going through things to throw things away. Bad thing is I'm a scrapbooker so I save EVERYTHING (like every movie stub, etc.)
I'm going to go out on a box run tonight. Hit Walmart and hope for boxes. And buy large tupperware containers either way. But I hope there are boxes. I'm going to get a shit load.
I copied all my club files to CD and took a large box with all the paper copies and left them in the club office today. It's six years of files for the club... everything we did... in binders, organized, pics, calendars, magazine articles, everything. I was crying as I left it there. I've had it for so long! And then I turned my key in and cried again.
But... on a happier note, I ran into boyfriend today (living about 15 feet away from each other helps in that, I think) and he drove me to campus and back to drop off the box (cuz it was big and heavy and it was raining out). Then I drove him to the grocery, the vet's, and then to 7-11 and we had Slurpies!!! I love Slurpies. I have them so rarely but they were a BIG part of my childhood. I'm quite fond of them. Even have all four Brain Freeze collecter's straws AND a Brain Freeze key chain! Boyfriend was disappointed that all the traditional Slurpie flavors are no more. He got the Shreck lemon-lime one. I got a mix of Berry Sprite and Strawberry-Kiwi.
- So far I've found:
- An old printed report card from college (I'd forgotten they used to actually send them to us in the mail in physical form!) and an old printed timetable for class sign-up (I'd forgotten those existed, too!)
- Some old floppy disks... the kind that were actually floppy...
- My Myers-Briggs personality test from when I was 17- I was an INFP then, actually. So I was wrong before when I said I hadn't changed
- The box that held my birthday cake many years back. It's decorated with Highlander photos. The cake was an ice cream cake... friends kept it in the box... they gave me trick candles... half the cake and box burned. LOL Learned an important lesson there!
- My old vampire cape- which I have now dubbed my moving cape and am wearing around now. LOL Yeah. I'm a freak, I know it :-) I had to buy a new vampire cape which was actually a cloak, because I couldn't find this one *hugs cape*
