Ow... headache...

Went to sleep at, um, I dunno 2:30.. woke up at 7. Spent a little while online, then packed more and tried to wake up. At exactly 9:38 this morning I found a gift card I've been searching for for over THREE YEARS!! My aunt gave me a gift card to Pier 1 ($100, which in my family is UNHEARD of, we usually give each other $10) and in my last move we managed to not be able to find it. I've been looking for three years... Mother looked... sister looked... we've been through every INCH of my apartment. And today I finally found it. In a box I checked at least 5 times before. It was still in the Happy Birthday card. But point is I FOUND IT!!!!! Called Mother. She nearly died. I just can't convey how incredibly thrilling it was. To lose $100 and spend YEARS looking for it... and find it in a box I'd been through SO many times before. Okay, maybe thrilled and stupid... but point is, I FOUND IT!!!!!!! *does happy dance*

On another happy note, the Wolf's Rain Slash Archive went live this morning. Eight stories and growing... not a bad first day. Even if I still like the other two layouts I did better than the one the admin went with.

Think pain meds are kicking in... headche is much less now... er... unless I move. Grrr Ah well... back to slow packing!
Maxwell is stretched out on my bed, clearly not caring yet about the packing exploits going on about him. Lucky cat. I want a nap...

Oooh, packing up to move pays off! I'm very glad that that happened -- it's always fun to have a little reward associated with moving, and finding a gift card is a supreme extra bonus.

I have to move in a few months, but I doubt I'll find anything that exciting. My fingers are crossed to find the half-dozen watches I've bought and then lost, though. ;)

Hope the headache's gone -- no fun at all to have your head hurt but be obliged to do anything beyond staying in bed with the lights off.

I found a watch today! Was one I owned when I was 7. Kermit the Frog. Needs a new battery though I don't think I'd get one for it. Anyway... yeah, it's strange the things I've found while packing. And wonderful, too! :-) But it's much slower-going than I'd like. Ah well. It's worth going slowly when I find something I've been looking for for three years! heehee Thanks for sharing my joy :-) I do hope your move goes well!

Headache went away, though is starting to come back again. It's just because I'm tired and haven't had much sleep in days. I've got this really weird cough thing going on now, though. I just can't seem to win tonight. LOL

Anyhoo... thanks again. It's nice to be able to share my happy moments for a change. I've been bitching far too much on this journal lately. :-)

Good job! I love finding things like that, it's the ONLY plus to cleaning...oh yeah and feeling good and stuff about the clean room...blah..blah...etc. LOL. Oh! But you may wanna make sure that the gift card isn't expired or anything, I'm sure it's not, but you know, never hurts. Happy packing. I'm going overseas soon, so I need to pack as well... thinksaboutpacking. Well, I bought luggage today, I feel I've worked on the overseas stuff for today. hehe.

It's the first thing I checked. It said something about for every month it's not used a dollar is deducted from the amount. HOWEVER it said it does this after first use only. As I haven't ever used it, I think I'm safe. Otherwise, it seems to have no expiration date or anything that says it's anything but fine.
But, yeah, no worries. It was the first thing I looked at when I found it.

Is it a safe assumption, that if something is posted, and unfinished, that it will stay unfinished?

Well... depends on what it is. About a third of my unfinished things I really do intend to pick up and finish one day.

Why? Is there something in particular you're annoyed at me not having finished? ;-) heehee

No! lol. Not annoyed at all, I just really like the Indiana Jones fic, and would love to see it worked on. I've just never encountered the fandom, and am interested in it. I like it. *G* I think I told you this before, lol.

Oh, I will DEFINITELY pick that one up again some day. And I'm hoping to do a Young Indy Friday Fic as well. I just need to sit down and watch Lawrence of Arabia and get in the mood to write Ned and get him corrent. Or, er, as close as possible. But, yes, I definitely haven't abandoned that one. And I'm on spf_daily so I am constantly infused with lovely pictures of Sean Patrick to inspire me *G* So no worries :-)
