Ugh... think I'm sick. It's so hard to tell because of allergies... but I think I'm sick. Gah. Am annoyed. Lots of congestion. Throat won't stop hurting like it tends to do after a few hours if it's just allergies. Been through tea(ick!) and half a box of popsicles and cough drops and nothing's helping. Anyway, that's just me complaining.
Game 7 tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Bolts! *waves banner* Okay, I don't own a banner... but I wasn't actually waving anyway... but I am in spirit... around the eating of the popsicles...
I opened 'Sign Language' today and gave it a quick read through. Am not so incredibly impressed with his paintings (Viggo uses a lot of red... which is a color which makes me uncomfortable) but his photos are wonderful. He definitely takes the sort of photos I do. Very much enjoyed. Wish I could use my scanner with this computer *pout* But, yeah, great book. *snuggles sexy fisherman Dom picture*
Watched Angel again today (I've been watching it every weekday without fail, actually). Faith was on. I've never seen her before (though I know from references in other eps about her) so I felt rather lost apart from the background they provided tonight. But Wes getting tortured! *snuggles* And then all worn out emotionally... and in the pouring rain to boot *refrains from writing BtVS/Ats fic* I really don't feel at all comfy writing one until I actually know the fandom. But the sneezefic bunnies are biting. heehee
Am looking forward to stories inspired by this week's hatched bunny. Oohhh Gilbert!!! *swoons* Okay, I wouldn't ever date anyone who teases the way he does because I don't have nearly the thick skin Anne pretends to have... but he's still a DAMN cute character and one of my few childhood crushes. So I'm definitely writing something... hopefully... just hard to write when I feel like shite myself :-)
I watched 'Unfaithful' last night on HBO. Damn good movie! Kept thinking of Remus throughout the whole thing, however. Richard Gere kept reminding me of him, and the other male lead was a book dealer (I'm writing 2 Remus/Bill stories right now in which Remus owns a bookstore) And now I have this fascination with women wearing long sleeved shirts with their hair pulled back but with those little strands coming down over their faces. Is so very yummy *pets*

Date: 2004-06-07 07:14 pm (UTC)Though, wow, I had no idea it was that far into the series! Last week's episodes seemed a lot earlier (like season 1 or 2) rather than 4 or 5. Hmm. So at this point in the plot have we already been through meeting Fred… and Angel's son and... um... *hides under chair with embarrassment* cute green demon guy with the bar whose name I don't know off the top of my head but who provides lovely comic relief... all that, or is that still to come? Cordy seems sort of new to everything still(not just her powers), which is why I thought it was a lot earlier in the series.
But, yeah, I knew from hearing things that Faith had a big role in the Buffy series, which is why I knew I was missing a lot where she was concerned(though I knew the basics).
As for the sadness factor- heck no! I can rattle off guest star names and production numbers of Highlander episodes at the drop of a hat(let alone ep names and flashback dates!) so, yeah, not sad. Just impressive. I like when people are ultra knowledgeable about their fandoms... shows they really care :-)

Date: 2004-06-07 08:41 pm (UTC)Though, question, is it going to be worth it to watch having only seen about 10-15 Buffy eps? Should I hold off on Angel until I can get through Buffy? I'm pretty good at keeping up with weird timelines (I'll watch Charmed at 9am which is in one spot in the series and at 6pm which is at another spot and I can keep up with those two timelines running at the same time without confusion) but I don't want to miss huge things by not having seen enough of Buffy...
Lorne! *slaps self in forehead* I knew that! Okay, not really, but I feel really stupid for not knowing it. I remembered he was of the Deathwok(sp?) clan as I saw the episode where he was beheaded after they went through the portal thingy but for the life of me I couldn't remember the name he went by.
Off to watch Emma on HBO now! *snuggles Ewan*

Date: 2004-06-07 11:26 pm (UTC)And LOL! I must admit I grinned when I saw my little 'sick' moodset picture. I'd forgotten about that one, and would have squealed at the sight of it had I the voice to do so *G* heehee
Unfaithful was VERY good. It was filled with mixed emotions. I felt guilty and thrilled, along with the main character. I felt sympathy for everybody a million times over, and kept jumping from one character to the other. From the woman who wanders into an exciting, incredible afair... to her sweet husband who's just too hugable for words... to the sexy French-speaking book-seller.... guh! Everyone's pretty and wonderful and horrible all at the same time. It was shocking and beautiful... ohhhh and the directing! The little details and things the director focused on... if I were making a movie I'd make it look just like that! It's definitely worth renting. But it is dark (both in subject matter and in set lighting) just to warn you.
Ugh... sneezing again... going to go take shower by way of the tissue box... damn... why is this so sexy when men do it? LOL
