lots of stuff
Jun. 21st, 2004 05:17 amI've been bad about updating my journal... sorry... so, to recap, here's everything:
Went out for ice cream with family for father's day at Friendly's (my favorite ice cream place). Was good. I got two scoops. Haven't had more than one scoop in three or four years. Was nice.
Parents bought a home gym yesterday. Weights and benches and crap. It was about $300 marked down from $800. Was father's day present to Dad. Family spent about an hour getting it from minivan to downstairs in pieces. Assembly did not happen today.
Visited my stuff in the storage unit a few days ago. The place plays non-stop country music. Sadly, I sung along with one (why'd you come in here looking like that?) which was left over from those two or three months in 7th grade when I liked country music. My stuff is crammed in there(15ft by 5 feet space) very well with a little path running down the middle (knights who say Ni impression: A path! A path!)
Watched A Perfect Murder on TNT. DAMN but Viggo's hot! *wants* Unfortunately, no full nudity as it was network TV. Will have to rent some day. I really liked it though. More than I thought I would, considering I was just watching it (and taping it) for Viggo
Watched Celebrity Poker on Bravo with Sean Astin. *loves* Was a good show. Sean was very amusing and impressed me. Everyone always cuts him off in things, though. It's sad. Was a good show, though. Cute lad from Malcolm in the Middle (Chris) was on... as was the elder Gilmore Girl (I used to love that show, but couldn't keep up with it properly), and Matthew Perry (who, like Sean, didn't drink alcohol, thankfully), and Sara(Sarah?) Whatshername from News Radio and that sitcom I only watched once. I love her though. Very funny she is. Great on Trading Spaces, too. Was a good show. And Sean was SOOOO sexy-cute! *dies with happiness*
Watched The Others on TNT. GOOD movie! Spooky! LOVED it! Reminded me of a book my class read in 5th grade about some kids. I don't remember the name of the book, but because I'd read the book, I guessed the big secret of the movie about halfway through. I love being one-up on movies, though, so that was fine.
I've been WAY too amused by teddy bear fetishes. I think
yaoi_daily has succeeded in COMPLETELY corrupting me. And I love it. LOL!
Watched The Cider House Rules tonight. Loved, too! Cried at the end. Big surprise. But loved it. Am already getting terrible fic ideas about it.
I've started about 20 stories in the last week and a half. Finished ONE. Damn, but I'm slow!
Watched episode 5 of QaF. Holy fuck! I was shaking and hugging a pillow to my chest during the last bit of the episode. And yelling a lot at the computer sceen. I doubted the brilliance that was QaF. I shouldn't have doubted. It all went down the way I was yelling at it to. Thank gods. I shouldn't have doubted QaF, but that episode shared the SHITE out of me!!!!! Second time I wastched it was much easier on my heart! It felt a LOT like the UK version, though. The guns... and Em & Debbie were JUST like Alexander & Hazel :-) I loved. I have episodes 6 & 7 downloaded but haven't watched them yet.
I'm working on a website for my aunt and uncle. They insist on paying me though I've said a dozen times they don't have to. Truth is, I could use the money and an addition to my website portfolio couldn't hurt either. But that's fun for me, so I'd do it for free in a heartbeat.
Watched RotK for the first time since seeing it in theaters. Cried my EYES out again. Damnit. I'd hoped seeing it on the small screen would make me cry less. But I cried SO hard I started coughing through the corrination scene when everyone bows to the boys. It's cheesy, but I think it's SO sweet. Mom was watching for the first time. Loved it. I knew she would. She's the one who's had me extended edition DVDs for the last couple months, watching them over and over again, with commentary and all. So that was fun.
Oh, my dad is going to Dublin for 3 days on the way to Armenia so I've been researching lots of tourist things for him there. It's been a while since my trip there, but I've had lots of suggestions for him and put together a mini tourist guide for him.
The new season of The Dead Zone has been fantastic!!
Wolf's Rain is a little annoying in English, but it's still damn nice to see it on! I cannot WAIT for the big DVD box set coming out in a month or two! *wants*
Um... you know, I think that's it, oddly enough. I'm still not fully unpacked, but getting closer. And feeling better. Still tired all the time and I can't seem to get to bed before 6am no matter what. I miss crashing on my couch in front of the tv, though I sometimes play a tape in my VCR when going to sleep. I have to be sure to wake up and turn it off, though, otherwise the tape will stop and rewind and the tv channel will turn on and they're all staticy as I don't have cable... and the static is loud and bothers family. So I have to wake up and turn the tape off or rewind it and start over again. Is silly.
I want to finish stories. Damn these ongoing bunnies...
Okay. Yeah. That's it.

Date: 2004-06-21 04:17 am (UTC)*sigh* A Perfect Murder was great. I really love his varied acting styles. Adrian Paul (Highlander), whom I love to death, has but one way of acting. It's rather boring to go through everything he's ever been in, though I have, practically. But Viggo's got such a range that it's a pleasure to track him down in things! Not to mention that he's not hard on the eyes. And Sign Language is lovely! I'm not a huge fan of his paintings (red isn't really a favorite color of mine) but his photography is excellent. But I have a huge weakness for photography, so I'm not the best art critic. But I loved his book just the same :-) When I get my scanner out of storage I'll try to put a few online for you. May be a while, though.

Date: 2004-06-21 12:26 pm (UTC)My dad's just staying there for 2 and a half days on his way to Armenia. Like an extended layover (though he did it on purpose). And since I'm the only one who's been there before, he's asking me for help. I totally want to go along! heehee! Though I'd probably skip the Armenia part since he'll be there for 2 weeks on work.

Date: 2004-06-21 05:24 pm (UTC)Also, I must admit I've only seen about 3 or 4 episodes of QAF this season so far...and I'm *paying* for Showtime just for that show! I'm just too busy to try and always be home and on the right channel at the right time.
As for extended unpacking, I can so totally relate. I made my big move to my new apartment this weekend. It's beautiful and big, and I love it, but I'm so very very tired. I need to unpack my clothes, at least, so I can have stuff to wear to work, but I just don't have the will to do it right now. My cat seems to like the new place though...much more room for her to run!
