As my dad's off in the Ukraine... so it's just my mom and sister this time around. Mom's making her famous 'takes virtually all day to make but is so damn worth it potato salad' (yum yum yum!) and we'll probably stay in and play a board game or drive 30 minutes away to see the fireworks and then wait 4 hours to get back home via slow shuttlebusses. I vote for the first option. LOL
I miss my college. Only one fireworks display in town and visible from pretty much anywhere in town :-) I can tell you one thing, we're not going to the Mall in DC to see them! No way. My whole family's as paranoid as I am :-) But it'll be a nice day. I know I knock the country's ideals and leadership constantly... but I'm glad I live here and I value my freedoms and rights and celebrate those who made all that possible for me.
