I'm going to watch Barefoot in the Park with Robby-baby later today on AMC. *snuggles Robby-baby* I've never seen it, apart from the, er, sneezing scenes *blushes*
These last few days have been packed full. Grandpa arrived and has been interesting to hang around (it's hard as the election is in the news so frequently and my family's liberal but Grandpa is conservative and hated Clinton *sigh* I normally don't mind debates, but it's hard to debate with an 80+ year old man about these sorts of things)
Went to my first funeral yesterday. Drove up to just outside Hershey, PA and back. It was for my grandpa's brother who I met once in my life, two years ago. One of the most exceptional men I've ever met, though. And I cried a lot. It was more just a memorial service though we were putting his ashes in the ground to be with his parents and wife's side of the family. Beautiful cemetary. Definitely one of the best I've ever been to. Lots of trees, very cozy, and lots of family plots and memorials.
Saw a TON of motorcycles on the road on the way up to PA. Turns out there was a convention this weekend in Gettysburg, according to the gas station chica I asked. But now I'm all inspired to write some Sirius/Remus motorcycle smut *G*
I've started SO many stories in the last week it's not even funny. I love it... it's just a tad frustrating. And fun. But frustrating. Ah well *snuggles my boys* I really want to finish one for last week's hatching, though. And my site needs an update. But, somehow, it's much more fun to help with the sf archive than my own site. How about everyone just update each other's sites for a couple of months? That would freshen things up, no? :-)
Mom and I drove sister and her friend up to Merryweather (gods, I spelled that wrong, I'm sure... Marywhether?) Post on Tuesday to see Puddle of Mud, Nickelback(sp?), and Three Doors Down. It was her first concert (and a birthday present). Mom and I walked around the mall and saw I, Robot instead.
I loved I, Robot! I spent a lot of time trying to decide which side to be on... I always have trouble with that sort of thing, though it's fun to try and decide. And even though I know a lot of reviews hated it, and it's contrary to Asmov's book in almost every way except for the 3 laws, I still really liked the movie. A good mix of ethics and human nature and technology and action and humor. And a lovely sneeze from Will. Yeah, okay, I'm sad and pathetic, but it was damn cute. And I cried at the end. No freaking idea why as it wasn't sad or happy or anything... my emotions were just running on high by that point and the music and the visuals of the last scene- and I was crying. Good movie. I enjoyed much much.
Whookay... that's probably all the semi-important crap. Probably not. I dunno. I'm just rambling at this point :-)
