Today's progress
Sep. 9th, 2004 12:59 amNot that anyone cares to know my progress each and every day... but I'm finding it rather fun to write out my fic jumps every day. If it gets annoying to anyone, feel free to yell at me.
Today's fics:
I'm SO tired. Slept 5 hours. Woke up and walked neighbors' doggie. Slept another 5 hours. Still tired. Had BAD headache all day. Grrr. I actually took meds and they took the edge off but the headache remains. Growl. Am hurting and tired and I don't like it.
Oh, I watched the Queer Eye fot the Straight Guy UK version tonight. I love those boys *hugs*. I still like our boys better, but the Brits are so nice! I want to live there! I was annoyed that they kept putting captions on during the show, as though we couldn't understand them. Um. It's the same LANGUAGE! *rolls eyes* I mean, I know Americans are stupid and maybe most people really couldn't understand them... but I was annoyed (not at the show so much as at the thought that Americans could really be so stupid as to not understand English). Then they kept putting up translations of the lang, which was less annoying. JUMPER=SWEATER LOL Mom watched it with me and decided to point out all the cute slang. Which would have been cute if I didn't know it already.
Mom: Look, Jumper equals sweater.
Me: I know.
Mom: Brilliant. Did you hear that? The Brits are always saying 'brilliant'. That's so cute!
Me: Yes, I know. I write Harry Potter fanfic, remember? I know all this.
Today's fics:
- Edited and then wrote a page or so in the Remus/Sirius fic for weekly hatching #26. It's going well. It's very snuggly thus far and proves to stay snuggly for the remainder of the fic.
- Got a few good pages written in my Remus-hurts-then-comforts-Sirius fic that girlwithtulips inspired me to write. The title is 'Near Miss' though. I love when I can think of titles. I'm so terrible about it normally. LOL!
- Got beta comments back from circe on a Remus/Sirius non-sneezefic. Have made a few edits, but the fic needs more. I'm hoping to finish it and send it into the fest tomorrow. Thankfully the deadline was extended to the end of Sept instead of the beginning so I feel much less rushed. Yay :-)
- Read through a bunch of plot bunny lists trying to get inspired to write a Highlander fic. It's my favorite fandom in the whole world and I just can't manage to get interested in writing or reading much fanfic in it. Sad, really *pouts* Even after looking through lists, there's nothing. I suck at Highlander fanfic. I suppose I shouldn't push it... or I should work on the few unfinished ones I currently have.
- Worked a little on my aforementioned 'Legolas masturbating in hot spring' fic. I think it's going to end up being my first full Legolas/Gimli sex scene fic. Albeit a generally nongraphic one. But it's a big step for me nonetheless. I really want to write a sex-on-horseback L/G fic. I think it would be easy having written a S/R sex-on-motorcycle fic. But I've got SO many Legolas and Gimli fics waiting (I started an Aragorn fic just a few days ago, too) that I'll try to get some of them done first. :-)

Date: 2004-09-09 12:04 am (UTC)That's because they ARE! *giggle* Even though I think of Sirius as bisexual at times rather than just gay. Love is love, you know?
Anyhoo... yay! Glad you're somewhat intrigued! *G* I'm glad I could help a little with that! R/S are my boys *pets*
As for my fics if you decide one day you DO want to read one... I recommend Storytelling (I can never remember if you read that one) has Sirius/Remus in it, even though it's also Harry sneezing. I'm writing a (hopefully) really cute Remus & Sirius take care of and watch over Harry while he's sick fic that you might like. But it's not finished yet... *sigh* Of course if you wanted to read the unfinished beginning I'd be happy to send it your way.
Love and Lightheartedness is my favorite of my own with a sneezing Remus. And I have a weakness for the ones I wrote for the various challenges (Hunter's Moon, Scarves and Sentimentality) and Crying Wolf is a good sick-Sirius one.
And my Three Sides to Every Lifetime trilogy might be another good place to start. Er, though the first two parts are rated R. So maybe just the third part- that deals a lot with what happens after Dumbledore tells Sirius in the third book to "lie low at Lupin's". It's about their past relationship and having to adjust to being around each other again after so long apart. The second part in that series deals with their suspicions about each other when they knew there was a spy in their midst. And there's Jmaes & Lily and baby Harry in that one.
But, yeah, read anything you like if you can work yourself up to that... just observe the ratings on my fics. Some fics are pretty graphic when there's sex. And others are just sweet snuggly boys if there's anything at all. Good on ya if you end up reading one. I feel honored. But no pressure at all. :-)

Date: 2004-09-09 05:48 am (UTC)I wonder if people in Quebec that speak French need a translator for things from France? Or people from Mexico need a translator for things from Spain?? I'd think that it would be similar principles involved.
Anyway- glad to hear that you are having fun with your boys.:) :)
