tarotgal: (Maxwell- story not done)

Grr... didn't get nearly enough done today. I went into icon-making mode. LOL

Today's fic exploits include:
  • Edited my Remus/Sirius fic for a fest. I'm going to give it a final edit tomorrow and then send it in. Yay. Glad it's almost over.
  • Edited my Aragorn sneezefic. I'm fiddling with the ending now. It's not as funny as I'd have liked, but it's different. And that's good. I'll probably just put it on journal, though. I was thinking of posting it onlist but, eh, it's really not that good. I'd hate to follow nermal's lovely Wes fic with it. LOL!
  • Wrote a bit of my Pirates of Dark Water fic. The beginning bit. I started writing the story in the middle, so today I went back and filled in the beginning. Playing catch-up, I call it.

Wow...I haven't seen or thought of 'Pirates of Dark Water' in a looong time, but I used to watch it constantly when it was on TV. I'm totally intrigued as to what you do with it!

Ew! Ew! EEEEWWW! *joins in shuddering at that last thought...

I never really had strong feelings about Ioz one way or another. On the one hand, he was kinda badass; on the other hand, he often did really stupid things in the name of greed that ended up getting them into trouble and I just wanted to smack him upside the head. Ren though...him I liked :)

I freely admit to really liking Tula, especially after she got those mystical powers that led to her probably becoming irritating to you. I was totally in my 'girl power' phase then, when all my most favorite fictional heroes were women: She-Ra, Xena, Deanna Troi, and my favorite female character, Jadzia Dax. I even went through a brief phase where I couldn't get enough of Sci-fi channel reruns of 'The Bionic Woman' *hides face in embarrassment*

Then it happened: I discovered the beautiful, sexy, angst-magnet that is Fox Mulder. That led to Ewan's Obi-Wan, then a few years later Daniel Jackson, and a few months later I first beheld Middle-earth...the rest is history. :) Currently, I'm playing catch-up on Farscape episodes. John Crichton=yummy!

So yeah, Tula never bothered me. I think it's cool that I'm not the only person either to have almost religiously watched this show. This makes me wonder if you watched any of the other obscure things I was briefly attracted to, such as 'Kidd Video'(with the sneezing fairy Glitter), 'Peter Pan and the Pirates' or 'Dinosaucers'. Wow, talk about a trip down memory lane...

Dude! Pirates of Darkwater! It still surprises me that when I meet people who watched and remember that show. That was one of those childhood things that my friend and I used to talk about during lunch...*sigh* Good times...
