As you can see *points to previous entries of the day* I finished a couple tiny ficlets today

• Finished the Charlie & his vampire friend ficlet I mentioned yesterday. I have plans on writing a follow-up, though. I can't resist the idea
  
• Finished the Remus & Sirius ficlet I started yesterday (the from concept to writing in 15 seconds one). It turned out nicely, I think. It's a light, cute, funny thing. I'm happy with it.
  
• Wrote a little of the recently-started Obi sneezefic. It's in a good place. The boys are snuggling. All is well.
  
• I will most likely start a Remus/Bill fic before going to bed tonight. Or that Charlie fic. We'll see what hits. ;-)
  

Some of the cats are downstairs making lots of noise playing with toys that have bells on them. It's amusing to listen to.

Yay for more Obi-fic! And I really enjoyed your Charlie fic with the vampires. I totally dig that 'trying not to sneeze in an important gathering' type fic. You've written several Obi/Qui fics along that line, and it's nice to see how easily that scenario fits in other fandoms. The vampires sympathetic smiles at remembering what it used to be like to be human and get sick was a nice touch.

Along other fic lines, I was google searching with more random word combinations and (using search terms including 'elves','nose', and 'sneeze' *G*) I stumbled upon a new LOTR fic I'd not seen before. YAY for the liking of the Charliefic! Thank you! *hugs* I'm sure I'll write a number of other fics with that concept as well, but it's nice to know people aren't absolutely bored with it. I liked that moment with the vampires, too. The vampires in my Ronfic are far nicer than the ones in that ficlet. But I couldn't resist a few smiles and sympathetic looks. I'd be the same if I'd gone hundred of years without a cold and suddenly saw someone in my domain sneezing *G* Of course I'd probably be other things, especially if it were Charlie Weasley...

Thank you for the link (I'm ALWAYS up for elf-sneezing! Especially when it's slash!), but I'd actually read that before. I probably shouldn't say but as she owes me $40 fucking dollars that I probably will never get at this rate, I don't give a damn anymore. But the owner of that site is the same chica who set up that new slashsneezing group a couple days ago. That's why there's so much of that sort of thing on the site (there's sneezing in her Lucius Malfoy fic, as well). So, yeah, she's a great writer and has been part of the SF community for many many years now, though under at least 4 different aliases. I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't get posted on her group sometime in the near future. Though it looks like she hasn't updated this site in a year.

Ouch, sorry to drag up not-so-nice thoughts...
I kinda suspected she might be one of us, as one of her other elf stories features Erestor sneezing from a cold and being taken care of by none other than the High king himself, Gil-Galad.

I must admit though, I do like her Elrond story. There's just something so ironic and amusing about the idea of an Elf being allergic to the very thing that gives them the most pleasure, oneness with nature.

It's okay. The not-so-nice thoughts started a couple days ago when she posted on the list. At least the fics are nice and yummy, though, so that's a good thing.

I really do like the stories. I've always liked her writings (did you ever venture on the big sneeze fetish community board and read the RPS with the actor who plays Haldir? that's hers) Her characters always have a lot of attitude... and there's always a very strong tone. And I completely agree with you about the irony of elf allergies. Which is especially yummy in that fic *G*

Oh, she's the one with the thing for Craig Parker...that explains much! I never saw that RPS fic, but now I'll have to go and look for it. He really is quite a cutie, especially out of makeup. Of course, knowing he's gay in real life only aids in the fanfic flowing of ideas, IMHO. *G*

Fandom's perception of Haldir's character is truly interesting. Although there's no real consensus, many write him as a very sensual being, quite often being the one to teach the secrets of sex to younger, less experienced elves (read 'Legolas'). He seems to be open to certain kinks, so I buy that he might enjoy another elf's sneezing, as he did in that one ficlet written by Sneezefreak awhile back. He certainly adds a welcome element of variety to the multitude of elf-slash stories out there.

I love Craig- and you're so right about him out of make-up *goes weak with a deep sigh* I definitely recommend that fic... at least the beginning. I don't remember how much of it I read, but I made it through the first couple parts at least. I'm half tempted to request she post it in her new group.

I've honestly only read a handful of Haldir-centered fics. No more than 5, I'm sure(Sneezefreak's being one of them, of course). But even from that small sample I found myself nodding along to your observation there. I love sexually-charged fanon Haldir... and I'm fascinated by the differences between him in fanon and canon. Though I must honestly admit that he was not my favorite elf(probably because of the dwarf-bashing) until I saw Craig in the movies and read fanfic. He definitely grew on me after that *blush* I've tried writing a few very NC-17 Legolas/Haldir fics but none have been finish-able(read: they were all quite terrible). I do love the idea of a kinky sex-teacher... that's one of my favorite versions of Remus, and Haldir does seem equally good in the role from what little I've read.
But.. wow... thank you much for your insights here. I bow to your great expertise :-)

*blushes* I definitely wouldn't call it expertise...more like enthusiasm. I definitely read far, far more Legolas/Gimli than I do any other pairing, with Legolas/Elrond-or-twins and Legolas/Aragorn stories vying for a distant second. Beyond that, my favorite LOTR stories are all non-slash, h/c fics revolving around three general topics: young Legolas coming of age; Warrior Legolas and his pals Aragorn, Elladan, Elrohir, and some Mirkwood OC friends all getting in trouble and dragging themselves back to get healed by Elrond; and fics about the Three Hunters and their post-ROTK adventures.

The point is, it's me who is grateful that I have someone like you to bounce all my random ideas off of. Thanks!
