Fics and stuff

Thank GOODNESS Cowboy didn't win. He was really starting to get on my nerves. And you cannot begin to imagine how anxious and freaked out I was during The Amazing Rae when it looked like the evil team was going to win. Yay Chip & Kim! I would have preferred the Bowling Moms, but at least it wasn't the embarrasingly horrible evil team or the freakish God-lovers. I'm really getting tired of those types on reality shows. Yay Chip & Kim! :-)

I worked on a BUNCH of different fics today, almost all of them non-sneezefics:

• Couldn't go to sleep this morning- it was a strange morning for my family. Mom and I didn't get to bed until about 8:30am. I was in bed at 6:30 but far too hungry to sleep and sister was making noise. A plot bunny bit just then but I was too tired to write anything. But I couldn't sleep. I hate that. So I got up and ate breakfast with Mom. Then I wrote out the idea. Turned out to be a short R/S ficlet (just a couple pages) entitled 'A Kiss'. It's cute. I enjoyed writing it. Then I went to sleep.
  
• Randomly I stumbled upon the words "The sleepies" last night and immediately a snuggly Obi/Qui ficlet bunny popped into my head. So I started writing. It's not sneezing but I'll probably end up posting it here when I finish it. It's yummy. And Snuggly. I love those boys *EG*
  
• After a certain discussion about elves last night, I decided to go through Lassegalen's Laire and enjoy the pretties. And then I stumbled upon one of Aragorn wounded *wibble* and immediately opened up some of my wounded!Gimli Legolas/Gimli fics. *checks and finds there are 4 opened currently* I wrote a couple paragraphs in a few of them and edited them all a bit. Stopped in the middle of a sex scene in one... I want to get the moment of revealing the injury right so I don't want to write it while I'm half asleep
  
• During my short bout with insomnia, and still mooning over sneezing Alan Rickman *swoons*, a nice idea for a short FAKE sneezeficlet popped into my mind. I've got it all worked out except for the very beginning and the very end. Once I figure out the beginning, I'll start writing it. Should be good.
  
• Started that Charlie sneezefic sequel. It was the only thing with sneezing that I worked on today. Cute sniffly Charlie *snuggles* I've worked SO hard creating his apartment and friends and lifestyle in Romania that it's rather effortless to write things set there now. I just call up the stuff I spent months researching and putting together. It's great. Now I just have to worry about spoiling too much about 'The Vampire' before I finish and post that.

I've been trying to find Lassegalen's page for what seems like an eternity, ever since I first saw a few icons and an A/L music vid floating around that credited her manips. It seems like every link I ever found to her page was broken though...or she had decided to temporarily take her page down. I had resigned myself to never seeing the full versions of these pics...

Dear Gods, that Elf is hot! Each new pic took my breath away as I opened it (well, except for the ones that look too girly for my tastes, but still...wow!). I am especially fond of the one called 'Archer', and that H/C one with Aragorn. Thanks to your earlier comment I was mentally picturing him holding Gimli instead and it became even better, though I generally prefer Legolas to be on the receiving end of injuries in H/C fics, but still...just too amazing for words.

Ohh! I'm thrilled to be able to supply the link, then! I saw 'The_Lake' a year or two ago and was floored. Took a while for my to find the site, too, though.

I sat down yesterday and saved all my favorites just in case. I love the ones you mentioned. I could stare at Archer forever. Lovely form *sigh* I also really like Black Pond... and Tender, of course *G* And Protector (H/L) And I got a LOT of injured!Legolas bunnies popped to mind as soon as I saw Winter3.. and even though I'm not at all into MPREG I went all mushy when I saw BedtimeStory.
I'm not so happy with the twins, however... they look just like Legolas most of the time only with dark hair. Erm. Not exactly how I pictured them. And some of the pics are a bit too feminine or too stereotypically white-pale!elf at times for my tastes. But those are few and far between. But on a whole, definitely a website I enjoy going back to in order to check for new pics. Of course I always go secretly hoping one day there will be a Gimli/Legolas pic or two. I'll stop rambling now, though. LOL Glad you enjoyed it :-)

Yeah, I didn't bother with any of the twins. I have yet to see a truly breathtaking photoshop of them (though a couple on The Theban Band aren't bad); most of what I see uses either Hugo Weaving's face or Orlando's. I'm not comfortable seeing them use Orlando's face for Thranduil either. It just feels wrong and kinda creepy.

Oooh, just stumbled across 'Captured'. Nice...very nice *G*. Legolas's body position is a bit odd, and the gashes look fake (looks more like a wild animal got them instead of a whip...and don't I sound pathetic now, analyzing lacerations), but the look of utter desolation in his eyes is quite striking.

I can understand how Legolas' father would look something like Legolas... but the twins? I like the Theban Band representations of the twins better than any other photoshopped ones, by far.

I like that one. It just screams "stop what you're doing and write a story about this!". But their shreds of pants bother me... the way they're fuzzed in places and stuck on there... just makes me squint at the pic and feel confused. As for the gashes... I thought they were from a wild animal *blush* Maybe that's just the fantasy books speaking, but I definitely thought 'big angry pet beast torments the prisoners' A whip makes far more sense though that's not what the markings look like to me, either...

And don't feel badly. I've overanalyzed some of these, too. LOL

Yep, that was the end last night. Drew won. He chose Cowboy instead of Diane (whom he was "dating") to go against in the final two and Will (YAY WILL!!!) cast the tie-breaking vote that caused Drew to win. I'm glad. THough I wish Will could have won. Or even Karen. I've been following it very closely(reading online bits from the webcasts and all, too) if you have questions.
