I f-ing hate my country right now. LOL No, seriously, I'm not happy about the election. Sickened would be a better word. But I'm NOT happy. I cannot currently imagine having another 4 years under that man. I can't. My parents are currently thinking of not watching news again for the next 4 years or reading the papers because this seriously isn't funny. I can't stand this. I can't even BEGIN to list how disappointed I am at the nation at the moment. Gay marriage... congress... the president... was not a good night for me. Is it any wonder I retreat into fandoms to get away from RL?
On a SLIGHTLY brighter note, my state- Virginia- ALWAYS votes Republican. Because we suck. But my county for the first time in, like, FOREVER, was not only close but voted for Kerry! I think it's because of so many military people in the area... and people who lost friends and family members in the Pentagon on 9/11 (20 minutes from my house). But, yes, I'm SO proud of my county! And one of thes votes was mine!!! *jumps up and down* I'm so happy! Finally my vote gets counted this year! (As I've voted absentee every year and those don't get counted in VA as it's never close enough) But, yes, I'm sooo proud of my county! Good neighbors!
