Fic progress

Didn't make too much progress on stories today. Woke up, walked dog, went back to sleep, woke up at 2, cried through John Edwards' speech, cried through most of John Kerry's speech (am tearing up again right now, damnit), didn't eat for most of the day, watched the first 3 episodes of QAF US to cheer up (it worked), then watched my usual Wed night shows and made a bunch of user icons for no reason *points* :-)

So today:

• Posted part 8 of 'Too Many Cooks' and wrote a little in part 9
  
• Will either go to bed depressed or write something else tonight. Haven't decided which yet. Might pick up my dog walking fic again...

I'm sad/pissed off that Bush won too... and I'm not even American, so I don't think I have the right to be, really, but... ugh. He's so narrow-minded! What IS it with conservative Christians who want to stuff their values down our throat? (re: abortion, gay marriage, etc) Same thing happened in Australia a few weeks ago with our election. Don't people CARE? Or are they just unable to think beyond themselves?

I get so used to the friendly, open-minded, fair, slashiness (*g*) of the people on my flist that it's a rude wake-up call to find that not everyone feels the same.
