I spent some of tonight making a bunch of LJ user icons, most of which turned out to be healing!Aragorn and Legolas/Gimli. That L/G fic that bit me while I was writing Obi has been trying to come out now that I'm able to write it... it's going to be big... and long... and dark... it has such a strange feel/mood to it already and I've not even started writing it (though I did jot down two pages of notes because the idea ROCKS and I didn't want to forget it).

ANYWAY, point is, I was in a major L/G mood tonight and my favorite Legolas/Gimli artist (Brianna) posted a new picture to Axe_Bow tonight. I wrote her an e-mail just yesterday thanking her for another L/G picture but the one she posted today was so overwhelmingly wonderful that I couldn't resist putting it on my desktop. Hurt/Comfort, huggling, snuggling Oohhhhh but I want a dwarf of my own!! Okay, no, I just want Gimli. Anyway, I changed my desktop and I wanted to share :-) Go to the Yahoo Axe_Bow group (and probably eventually the website when it's updated *points to list of links on the right-hand side of her LJ layout) in the files section to check out the full version. I may just have to write another fangirly thank you e-mail to her now...


In the topright-hand corner Legolas is begging to put more bandages on Gimli and Gimli's being a tough dwarf and refusing the care *EG* But the snuggling... oohhh I LOVE Clingy!Legolas! Squeee!

Da cute elf and dwarf hugging! *G* This is supposed to be set right after Helm's Deep, which is why Legolas is so happy to see Gimli alive there.

I just got done checking my e-mail, and I saw this pic on the Axe_Bow list and immediately thought 'tg is going to love this one!' I adore Brianna's work too, and I saved it to my hard drive immmediately. I think my favorite pic is the one of them cuddled in bed together, mostly because it helps me visualize better so many cute fic moments I've read. My second favorite is the top left hug. I would have killed to have just a smidgeon of that deep affection at that point in the movie. *sigh*

I'm SO psyched by the news that you're working on L/G fics again! (And oooh, a dark fic...dark is fascinating. And big and long fic is even better, at least for me...maybe not so good for the ones doing the writing.) Between you and blackvelvetband, you've got me practically salivating in desire for more Elf fics...though I shall attempt to be a good girl and remain patient. *G*

At the very least, the anticipation helps me take my mind off of depressing political matters somewhat, so I thank you for that. *sighs again*

I certainly needed some cheering up (though I must admit the prospect of Ewan tonight and QAF yesterday did help) and was sooooooo excited when it popped into my mailbox! Sooo cute and perfect! *snuggles the pair*

The cuddling in bed is DEFINITELY my favorite of the four!!! But then I can't decide between the two left-hand ones for a second favorite. Not that I don't love the bandages... because I definitely do, especially with the H/C and the dialogue and perfect!! There's just something about Legolas hugging his middle from behind while Gimli's trying to have a proper drink... like he's been trying to shake Legolas off but Legolas won't budge (and he secretly doesn't try so hard to shake the elf). And then that ruiniting hug with the bloody axe there and all. OH I love those two! Can't decide... I can't... too much yumminess! LOL But you're definitely right- that part of the movie would have floored me if it had had even a hint of that. Come on Legolas... can't even spare an on-screen shoulder squeeze for your Gimmers? *sniffle*

Well, I didn't start that particular one last night... but I did open every one of my L/G fics and wrote a little in most of them last night. I'm definitely going to pick one to try and finish within a day or two. I have that 'Elf Study' series I started for practice a while ago and one of the short things there is already done and ready to be posted... so I want to get the others finished, too. Can you tell I'm in a mood?

As for the darker fic... it's definitely not a sneezefic... though there's definitely a fever in play and some other H/C aspects that should be good. But that part's just a plot device :-) I'm glad you don't mind reading them! I'm just scared mine will turn out too angsty- ICK- or start sounding like some other L/G fics

But glad I could take your mind off things a little... goodness knows I need it...

Forgot to mention: I love the new icon! And I can't wait to see the healer!Aragorn one...those little glimpses of the Houses of Healing in the new EE trailer had me squeeing out loud, particulary at the glimpse of Faramir all bandaged up! *melts*

Thanks! I think it *points to the L/G icon on my original post* might be a little too busy... but I sort of like it busy. Makes you keep staring at it. LOL

As I haven't put them up anywhere... this is the better of the several healer!Aragorn icons from last night's session. It's still kind of fuzzy and all...


And this is the L/G part of a series I'm working on. I considered putting something there in that blank space for one version of it but I didn't know what *shrug* I'd love to do a "You shall sit behind me... then all will be well" sort of icon but I think that would be too busy for this particular one.
