Faerie Tale Theatre is coming out on DVD as a full set (instead of just individual disks)!!! This was one of my absolute favorite shows as a child (did I mention I was raised on PBS?) OMG but I've been DYING for this to come out on DVD! Now all I need are Pound Puppies, Zoobilee Zoo, and Square One and my geeky childhood will be completely re-lived *giggle* But I'm soooooo happy! Is a little expensive... but so worth it. And several different set formats to choose from. Oohhh!

I've heard of Pound Puppies, and I occasionally watched Zoobilee Zoo, but I've never heard of this series, or Square One, for that matter. I'm sorry I haven't because I always considered myself an 80's tv guru. Guess I just focused too much energy on He-Man, She-Ra, Dinosaucers, Ghostbusters, Kidd Video, etc. to take notice of everything out there!

In related news, I was seriously tempted to buy the box set of 'My Little Pony: The complete First Season' yesterday at Best Buy :)

Oh my goodness, I used to watch Square One religiously! I loved Mathnet, it was the best part of the show. I was just thinking about that the other day, too. Crazy.

Oh, that is so cool! I loved Faerie Tale Theatre! I've been hauling around my battered vhs copy of The Frog Prince for ten years.

I don't remember Faerie Tale Theatre exactly but I do remember Square One. The theme song and the laser opening title thing were annoying but other than that I thought it was great. Too bad I still suck at math...My favorite skit was always the Dragnet take-off for some reason.

The other show on PBS I used to love even more than that was Where in the World is Carmen San Diego. This was probably because I like geography and history more than math. They had the regular show for a while and then they had Where in Time is Carmen San Diego, then the cartoon show after that. I always wanted to go on those shows, not only because I thought the host was cute, I also really wanted the letterman jacket the winner got at the end. Yeah, I'm pathetic.
