FIC: Gift for Silverelf
Dec. 21st, 2004 01:38 amTitle: Gift for Silverelf
Author: tarotgal
Fandom: X-Men
Pairing: Wolverine/Nightcrawler
Rating: R
Disclaimer: These characters and their world are as not mine as they could possibly get.
Summary: Kurt is sick and Logan does his best to cheer him up and get him in the mood
Notes: Written for Silverelf for the winter holidays, 2004
Follow the fake LJ cut to my (Gift for Silverelf) Have a happy Yule/Winter Solstice and a very merry Christmas!
I hope all the elements you wanted are included in sufficient quality. I had wanted to do more of a balance between the religious and secular (because Kurt's background lends to it so well) but that did not come out as strong as I liked and, in the end, I settled for more smut and less depth. LOL It was forced in a few places, and hopefully the fact that I wrote it over a few weeks means that consistency is not torn to pieces. So if you see something horribly wrong, feel free to call me on it. But I definitely enjoyed trying to make Logan both dislike Christmas and like it enough to try and pull Kurt into the spirit of it.

Date: 2004-12-21 09:27 pm (UTC)I can't pick out where it was forced, it all flows beautifully to me. It was wonderful, and exactly what I was hoping for, but not what I was expecting. It made me make that little happy sigh noise several times throughout, and ohh, just perfect. Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! I could spend hours going over which parts I liked the most, because I loved it all. Aww, poor little Kurt all tied up with tinsel and jingle bells. That's an image that's not going to leave my mind. And Santa Logan! And ohh, the candy cane. THAT was just as I'd imagined it. You write the boys so WELL! And aww, there was Gambit pettage. That was happy making too. The whole thing was happy making.
Thank you!!! *hugs some more*

Date: 2004-12-25 06:55 am (UTC)I am so bouncing and overflowing with happiness now. I'm soooo glad you liked the fic! And I'm terribly relieved that you couldn't detect the forced parts while reading.
Image of wrapped-up!Kurt- Oh, I know. That was (as you could probably guess) the first and main image that spring to mind when I thought about writing this fic. I had a fun time with it *G* I'm glad you liked Santa!Logan... I figured it would either be too silly or just right, and I'm very glad it was the latter.
I feel a bit badly that there wasn't more of Gambit since you'd specifically mentioned wanting some Gambit/Rogue but (as you probably guessed) that image of Kurt was really pulling at me to get into the story.
*hugs back* I'm so glad you liked your present! Blessed be and Merry Christmas!
