Fic Progress

Took off work today to spend the day with family- we were going to go to my favorite place in the whole wide world- Old Town Alexandria- and visit the Christmas Store (and the Scottish store, if I could convince the fam to humor me). So I woke up early and got ready... only to find half my family wasn't yet awake. So it's been 3 hours and I'm still waiting. I think we're going at 3, which gives me time to eat again before we go. Anyway, I spent the morning writing, listening to a beautiful CD my kindred spirit sent me for Yule, and visiting Blockbuster.

Blockbuster is having this incredible sale on previously-viewed DVD's and videos. And while nothing really jumped out at me (I nearly bought Secret Window and The Diary of Ellen Rinbouer-sp? but did not) I did, however, return this morning in order to buy a copy of 'Monkey Trouble' on VHS for $5. Haven't seen it (and will probably wait for nightfall and privacy to watch it) but I'm absolutely terrible and couldn't resist *sly grin*

Goshdarn! I downloaded the new Weather Bug version the other day and those 'dings' it makes when it has an alert are SO annoying! I miss that chirp!

I've decided if/when I get a digital camera for christmas I'm going to start a photoblog.

Also, I'm terribly excited about the two episodes of The O.C. on tonight! One is the one I missed out of this season, and the other is last year's Christmakah episode! And as I'm attempting to write another fic set during that episode, it'll be fantastically helpful to have it on tape and watch it again (rather than just reading through the online transcript). So YAY!

Yeah, so that's enough randomness... fic updates...

• Finished my Remus/Bill fic and turned it in in time for the deadline- only 7 out of 21 people got their fics in on time. How crappy is that?! Grrr! I'm glad I was one of the 7. And I'm glad to be done with it :-)
  
• Posted BVB and Silverelf's fics for Yule- I need to catch up with comments here, but I'm so incredibly pleased you both liked them!!! Blessed be!
  
• I added another two gift fics to my list (yeah, I'm terrible) so right now my stats are: 9 finished out of 17. So more than half. Which isn't too bad, really. I need to finish one that's due on Christmas. And I'd like to start and finish another by Christmas as well. And 3 of the remaining 8 I may take into January. So right now, my plan is: finish 2 more by Christmas. Then finish another 3 (or more) by New Year's. Then finish the remaining 3 (or less) ASAP. Which I think is a perfectly reasonable goal. So. Yeah. I'm on top of them all right!

Going to go eat and write some more until we leave.

I don't have an updated formalized list yet, but I'm posting all the finished fics on my LJ. Just BVB's and Silverelf's thus far (posted as Yule presents). Yours will be posted on Christmas, as you specified initially. So you have not yet missed it. Just look for it then :-)

And I got your card today. It's funny, I've been joking around at how much Thomas Kinkade stuff there suddenly seems to be around lately(not just paintings but cards and soaps and candles and mugs...) But yours is very pretty and I really appreciate you thinking of me! Thank you :-)

Well, I *DO* have a list(literally). It's just on a piece of paper beside my computer :-) It's got lots of little check marks going on though, so that makes me feel all happy and accomplished. *G* I'm just posting them on the actual holidays themselves as gifts, not when I'm actually finishing the stories themselves. I'm sort of writing them as I get inspired to, so they're rather out of order.

But the list isn't actually posted anywhere, no. At least, not yet.

Oohhhhhh! LOL No, no. Making a list is a huge deal to me- I wouldn't do that just for gift fics. I've got a website to post things on, after all. So sorry for the confusion!!
