Surprise! Unless something quite unforeseen happens, this will probably be both my first and last attempt at writing RPS, and I'd never consider writing it for anyone but you. The plot is a little... eh... and I've no idea about the "characterizations". But I tried my hardest and I really hope you like it, because you deserve a good fic! *WARM HUGS*

OMG!!!!!! *cries* *HUGS TG* This was the biggest surprise ever! I saw your post asking if people would like fics about two weeks after you'd written it, and by that time you had so many to write that I didn't want to ask for one as well, but, omg. *hugs self* :D I'm so happy and touched and feel so loved that you thought of me anyway, and wrote an RPS fic (!!!) of my OTP, anyway. This is the best surprise of the whole day - and it's already 10:38pm here on Christmas day :) This is without a doubt my favourite present of the day!!! It's been a nice day but I've been sick since last night (like Orlando lol) so it's been pretty uncomfortable, too. I spent the day watching the commentary for RotK, and then watching the extra footage so I'm TOTALLY in a Viggorli mood and you are the sweetest EVER!! And, I am so thrilled and honoured and humbled that you're breaking your no RPS rule just for me!! *HUGS* I don't think any other Christmas present has ever made me cry before! Happy tears, though *l*

:) The reason it's taken me so long to comment is because I've been reading and rereading and rereading the story!

In case you can't tell, I love it to bits!!! :D It's wonderfully sweet and warm and fluffy and that's what I love most! I thought you did a fantastic job with the characterizations - Viggo the protector; older, wiser and knowing exactly how to make Orlando feel better and sick!Orli - slightly sarcastic, a bit smart-arse, but underneath it all still needing (or at least, wanting) Viggo very much! And bits of info (is it still called "canon" if it's referring to RL?) you slip in about Orlando not being able to handle alcohol, and Henry being the most important thing to Viggo makes it feel real!

My two favourite lines (both of which had me giggling out loud!):

“You just need to keep up with your meds and keep drinking lots of fluids.”

“Right dow I *ab* a fluid.”

SQUEE!!! *cuddles fluid!Orli* :D It was just so unexpected and cute and funny and I loved it!

And:

“What can I get you? Juice? Water?”

“Vodka?” he asked hopefully.

LOL! I could so picture (fanon)Orlando saying this!! *g* Probably just a small thing, but one of those vital small things that just make everything else click in place and sets the mood/character. And it cracks me up that he would ask for vodka (even half-jokingly) instead of something sensibly healthy!

I just adored the sweetness of this! The image of Viggo and Orlando snuggling... *squee!* And awwww, Viggo not going home so he can stay and take care of Orlando :D I thought (from your summary) that he was going to change his mind at the last minute and decide not to go, afterall, but it's a hundred times sweeter that he'd never even considered leaving Orlando! And Viggo not giving Orlando a chance to protest at why he shouldn't go... hee :D

And that one line... He could just imagine what everyone would say when they found out he was responsible for Viggo coming down sick. What a lovely image! *bg*

I know you're not really comfortable/familiar with the fandom, but you did such a wonderful job with this fic! :D And thank you so incredibly much for writing this for me, especially because this isn't a fandom/genre that you're comfortable with. Anyway, I LOVE this so much! I'm probably going to go reread it another five times before bed *l*

Can I say next to Legolas and Aragorn, Orli and Vig are right up there. So imagine my surprise when I saw this. Thank you GWT for suggesting this. I really like reading RPS too and I think you did a fantastic job - I wouldn't be above, begging, bribing, etc for more Vig/Orli but I am grateful for this gem. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Orli sick and a caring, thoughtful Vig (visions of sex/smut dance in my head) :0. Really Santa I have been a good girl.

Wow, another Viggorli fan?! :D This is my OTP and it's so exciting to find others who can share it! How wonderful was this fic?? *glee* Just utterly perfect *happy sigh* I didn't suggest this, though - tg wrote it as a (wonderful!) surprise for me and the next morning after reading it, I'm still wonderfully surprised *l*
