fic update
Jan. 12th, 2005 01:51 amShouldn't have watched Judging Amy tonight. Cried my eyes out. Now they're not only tired but dry and hurting, too. Stupid me. A whole show about death is most likely not the best thing for me to be watching right now. LOL
My mother and sister (taking a week off from school next week, which is a 3-day week anyway... I would have DIED with terror if I had to do that when I was a senior in high school... but, then, my sister's not an over-achieving freak like I was) are flying out to California this weekend to see my grandfather. Which is nice because he'll be happy to see them, and because it'll give my aunt a week off. Of course she still can't get back to LA because boats are filled and planes are booked until at least Friday. Yech!
Walked my neighbor's dog tonight (she's the brother of my boss, so she flew down to Florida to be with her mom as well) and will probably help them out again tomorrow, as well as go over to take care of boss' dogs since he's gone. May be taking his daughter to the doctor's as well since he's gone. I have a very strange job, have I ever mentioned that?
ANYWAY... I finished the Legolas/Gimli fic! WHOOHOO! It's... well, it's a hell of a lot longer than 1-3 pages, that's for sure. But it's done. I'm DEAD tired and my eyes hurt... but I swear it's full of stupid errors I'll kick myself for later. So I'm going to try and take a pass at it editing tonight... maybe put on the Soprano's to keep me awake while I do it. Yeah, watching people get murdered. That should cheer me up. But the point is, the fic is done!!!!! YAY!!! I love it. I'm sure those of you out there expecting to like it will do so... but I really love it. It's simple, but I really had fun with it... and it's given me some nice down time just when I needed some. Thank you, sneezy elf! LOL Now I just need to get the cute Gravi bros worked out and then the O.C. fic and I'm done!
Less than a month until the annual challenge deadline- do you know where your muses are?

Date: 2005-01-12 07:33 am (UTC)I've officially called work and told them I'm staying home sick tomorrow. I feel like crud, but more importantly, it's really important that I don't infect all the frail patients that come into our clinic. Anyway, my point is that I'm delighted that you've finished the fic, and I'm honored that you put so much effort into something for me. I can't wait to read it! I'm sure it'll be just as helpful a distraction from my physical condition for me as it was from your family's troubles for you. Thanks so much, in advance! *HUGS*
