tarotgalIt's snowing again! Wheeeeee! I hope I don't get snowed in at work here. It's been snowing for an hour and a half but it's really starting to stick and accumulate now. *crosses fingers*
If my sister's feeling better on Sat, I'm going to drag her to Rocky! I'm very interested to see how the nearby college cast does RHPS- I've only ever been to two places- and while there was a different cast each time at my old college(they only performed two-four times a year), the games and traditions were always the same. You can only watch virgins eat cookies off strangers' crotches for so long, you know? This cast looks good, from their website. I'm definitely jonesing for some Rocky and my sister's a virgin, so that's always fun. Hope she doesn't die from the shock of it all, but I'm there to protect her :-) *crosses fingers that we'll get to go this time* It's a block down from where I work at a movie theater I adore- they show indies during the day and movies that came out half a year ago in the evening. It's small and cute and a nice place to lose one's virginity, I think ;-)
GODS but the snow is BEAUTIFUL! Big, thick flakes. There's a huge woods right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows just a few feet to my left, and the trees are all covered in snow *deep sigh* Wish I had my digital camera! *another deep sigh* I have a TINY little Legolas/Gimli snow plot bunny in mind for the annual challenge. This snow might be what it takes for me to write it. Oohhh and now a Wolfcrawler one hit me. Hmmmm. I definitely may have to spend tonight writing. Still need to come up with a title for that other fic... I so suck at titles...

Date: 2005-02-03 11:38 pm (UTC)It never seems to be snowing where I live at the same time as it's snowing where all my LJ friends live, despite the fact that I don't live all that terribly far away from some (I'm in eastern Indiana, not far from the Ohio border.) Despite the fact that our ground has been completely snow-covered since the beginning of January, we haven't had any fresh snow for about 2-3 weeks now so all the snow that we do have is getting dirty and marred by footprints and such. I'll be happy when I move from my apartment to some place with more trees and open space so I can enjoy the pristine winter landscape without human interference.
And oooh, I do so hope you write a Legolas/Gimli snow-related fic (though that picture from Lassegalen's Laire of Aragorn and Legolas in the snow springs to mind too...mmmm. Yummy!), since several of my favorite LOTR fics of yours contain snow: 'Refuge from the Cold', 'Back to Back'/'Front to Back', and still my personal favorite- 'Time to Come in From the Cold'...oh gods, that last one makes me weak in the knees every time I read it! It presses just about every one of my buttons and I'm still ever so very grateful you wrote it!*G* Anyway, there's just something about LOTR in general that works so well with snow, IMHO. Must be elves and the whole nature thing, but it's just so fitting to me.
