I woke up all ready to go to work (okay, not all ready, but mindset-wise) and looked outside to see fog and snow everywhere. And it's majorly wind-ing (that's my sister's word from when she was two... how the heck should I spell that? LOL). But, yeah! Now I'm worried. I DEFINITELY cannot drive in this, but I really need to go over and let Boss' dogs in & out a few times. No one's over there, as far as I know, to do that until 2pm. Maybe the snow will back down soon. THe weather report says the whole thing's supposed to last 3 hours without much accumulation but with very little visability. I ain't driving when there's no visability!
On a completely unrelated note... this was on CNN when I woke just now, too. Just more fuel for this week's bunny, I guess: http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/conditions/03/07/cold.remedies.ap/index.html
Much as I love herbs and natural things, homeopathic things not cleared by the FDA really bother me. But I'm freaky when it comes to medication so... I dunno. Stupid me who likes science to prove things actually work significantly before she takes them *shrug*Not that I always trust the FDA... but, again, I like overwhelming data. But, hey, whatever works for you, right? So long as it doesn't interact with meds you're already taking...
DAMN but it's really coming down out there! This was sudden and unexpected. I can't decide whether to go back to bed for an hour or to stay up and hang just in case it swiftly improves so I can go to work.

Date: 2005-03-08 04:42 pm (UTC)I know I'm days late but wanted to post about yout realm update. I really loved your Dog Walking fic. I'm not usually drawn to original character fiction but I really enjoyed it. Loved Alex and the dogs, he was a great character and they were so cute.
I also really like the HP fics, as usual your sick Sirius is just so sweet. I just want to snuggle with him and Remus :) I really like how he was denying he was sick in Fever and then at the same time was realizing he was. I also had to reread the snow drabble - your nurturing Remus is just perfect as always.
I came home Sunday night after working 14+ hours to find your update. It made my night. I'm always so happy to find new fics from you.

Date: 2005-03-09 03:39 am (UTC)I'm so happy you liked Alex! *giggle* Poor complaining, wet, miserable Alex *G*
As for Fever 1 (Fever 2 is halfway finished and far different, though it starts out exactly the same) thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed Sirius' struggles with being sick. And it's great that you enjoy my nurturing Remus as well. I do love writing him like that. *snuggles Remus*
