tarotgalHaven't heard back from the S/R Fuh-Q-Fest admin, but I'm hopeful I got the challenges I put in for *crosses fingers*
I've been working these last two days on a prequel to 'The Uncontrollable', the L/G fic I wrote back in... I dunno when it was, but months ago. While listening to the LotR audio tapes in the car I came up with a darling original character and a bunny. So I started a Legolas/Gimli fic with my character, Orin, as the narrator and about 2 paragraphs into it I decided to write this prequel instead, also using Orin. So I completely started a new story and now I'm a good eight pages along. Ran into a bit of trouble earlier today (as did the characters) but I'm managing to get them out of it now. And I have the final scene all perfectly worked out in my head, so it should go relatively quickly after this. I'm happy about it. It doesn't introduce Orin so well, but well enough. The bunny from the audio tapes has me going into much more detail about him... so I'm writing the fics in the absolute wrong order. But, bah, what's new, right? Must obey the muses :-)
Tomorrow's the start of May, which means my faaaaaaaavorite month for nummy fics *blush* Now sure how much I'll write for it, but I'll be reading up a storm (and I'll be attempting to keep up with my rec journal again, LOL). Oh, how I love the MMoM! If only all my fetishes had their own months!
I watched the HBO Kingdom of Heaven special tonight. Guuuhhhhh! YUMMY! And now I have a craving to watch 'Timeline'. It was the night arrows that did it, not the desire for some Thewlis-character-ness. But guhhhhhhh! *drools* I most definitely have a thing for guys with swords and even the commercials for this movie have me spellbound. Yeah, this has nothing to do with writing, just thought I'd mention it while I was here.
OH! And I went to the Burger King halfway between my work and my home tonight to get my sister food and they had a new veggie burger with Morning Star Farms fake-meat patties! (I practically live off MSF products- I know they're full of preservatives, but that's what makes them so yummy!). I tried one tonight and oohhhhh yummy! Go them! Last time I went to Burger King I asked for a burger without the meat and they were TOTALLY confused by my request. So now I'm all happy that I have more alternatives (though I ADORE their salads as well). I eat fast food maybe... I don't know... 10-15 times a year? But it's always lovely to see veggie burger options. I just watched the Doublemeat Palace episode of Buffy last night, so I had a hard time not laughing while I was in Burger King.
