Stupid titles!

I can't think of a title for this L/G prequel to The Uncontrollable. Growlhiss. But I think it's done. Not much sneezing at all but, then again, I hadn't intended for it to have much. I've completely fallen in love with my OMC, though. I looked his name up in my baby names book last night and his name means 'pine tree' or 'fair and pale skinned'. How incredibly perfect is that for an elf? I wasn't sure I liked his name when it came to me a few days ago but he INSISTED that was it and wouldn't allow me to change it. So now I'm really happy I listened to the boy *G* Don't you just love when things work out like that?

Stupid title. Why won't you come to me? *pouts*


They're showing HP1 on ABC again right now- without the deleted scenes added in like last time. But they're showing HP2 next week WITH the extra footage and a sneak peak at HP4. YIPPIE!!! It looks so good! I awwwwed at the brief glimpse of Hermione in her Yule Ball dress and I squeeeed at the Hungarian Horntail and gilled!Harry during the second task.

I must also admit to taking out my new wand and doing swishes and flicks along with that part of the movie tonight. *G* I think I need more practice. Nothing moved for me! Hmph! ;-)

And the new Muppet Wizard of Oz movie looks bloody hilarious! "What happens in the Emerald City stays in the Emerald City!" *gigglefit*

*claps hands and jumps up and down like a little girl* Oooh! I'm so excited for this prequel fic that I almost feel silly at how happy reading these fics makes me. I'm really interested in this original character you've come up with, and I like the meaning of the name you've come up with. Naming your child after a plant is a true wood-elf thing (and also one of the reasons that I believe Legolas's mother was Sylvan, not Sindarin like Thranduil, but I digress). *G*

On another note relating to sniffly elves, I started playing 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' on my Gamecube the other day, and last night I had him down in this dark crypt and I got up to get a drink and when I came back, my cute little Link had started shivering and holding his arms together for warmth, and then he bent over at the waist and sneezed. It was soooo cute...so of course I let him stand there and do it again another half-dozen times! ;)

Oh, and before I forget: Don't worry about a perfect title. You could call it 'Prequel to Elf story number 19' or whatever, and I would still read it just as happily. *G*

Actually, 'The Uncontrollable' is LotRLegGim18, not 19 ;-)
But I get your meaning. I like your idea about titles being only as references and distinguishing one from another. I'm so bad at titling things, that that's a comfort to hear :-)

But I think I'm calling it 'The Long Way'. It's not as packed with themes and images as the first... but I tried to stay close with the style of things, even though Leg's hardly in it and it's Orin's POV.

I'll put it up on my site tonight and post a direct link from here. There's not enough sneezing for me to justify posting it on the list and at 14 pages and change it's really too long for an LJ post.
