I fully intended to have a nice evening after a long and productive day at work. I checked e-mail and cried straight through ABC News Tonight without Peter Jennings. (I swear, I saw more of Peter during my first 7 years of life than I saw of my father, and I'm not joking. I definitely took this hard, though I'm amazed and relieved to see how many other people feel similarly) Then I ended up (very happily) with the house all to myself, which is a rare occurance I took advantage of. And halfway through (as usual) I came up with a fantastic fic idea.

Very unusually, when I finally got to the computer, I still really wanted to write it. So everything got pushed aside suddenly for it. It's a Qui/Obi sneezefic that's a prequel to the story I started for Quixotic but that I'm calling 'Playful' instead (and almost done with). It was beautiful. Raw and fantastic and delicious and then some... and I haven't even made it to the sneezing yet. LOL!

Somewhere in the middle, though, I started reading a James/Sirius fic and I was completely inspired by a new bunny to write a new (non-sneezing) Remus/Sirius fic. So I started it and it's a great start. Very nice, as well.

And then, suddenly, an image of Spike hit and I was suddenly writing an angsty!Spike Spander (also non-sneezing, I think) fic.

So, like, in the space of two hours, three beautiful new fics were born and I love them all muchly and wish the world would just STOP so I could write them before I lose the inspiration. DAMN I love obeying my muses and getting such fabulous results. I mean, not that I NEEDED new stories- I've already got 11 open on my computer's task bar. But these are... great. Mmmmmm. VERY happy with them. *goes off to write madly, as quick as she can before she loses this voice*

I do love when muses take off like that! it's a rareity LOL. doesnt happen often enough ;)esp. when you get inspriation for 3 stories at once! :-D of course, my muses always decide to go on a completely different tangent when I have at least 6 or 7 other stories open that Im working on--argh! lol.

i never really watched Peter Jennings, so I cant relate to it as the rest of you have, but that's still a shame :( (has never been much of a news watcher)

Exactly! Like my 200-something unfinished stories aren't enough? Got to have more for the muses to play at. LOL There's never enough time to write the things I want to write. But it's nice to feel inspired. I love that feeling, starting a new story, when the words just flow out so freely like they come from somewhere else. Somewhere shocking and billiant and not from me. I love that feeling. Better than drugs and a hundred times more addictive.

oh man, definitely more addicting than any drug LOL (not that i take drugs *G*) i love the feeling of starting a new story--it's just--fresh, with so much promise! :-D (as Anne says from AOGG "Fresh, with no mistakes in it" ;))

Am writing it right now. It's just a short piece. Got stuck overnight but unblocked about 10 minutes ago. Yippie! I'll send it to you if I decide it doesn't suck too badly when I finish it. LOL :-)
