You know what's scary? I was looking for my favorite unfinished SW Obific to read/edit/write and couldn't remember the name. So I opened up a few of the documents and there's a story there I know I wrote but I don't really remember writing it. I keep flashing at times while reading it on what I wanted to have happen, but all the little twists and phrases and things are so new to me that it feels like someone else wrote it. LOL! This isn't the first time this has happened to me, but it's a funny feeling. The document said it was created August 24th, 2004 and last edited September 4th, 2004. So it makes sense I might not remember it from a year ago. Still... whoa. Strange, weird feeling! It's like reading someone else's fic and then suddenly remembering having written little bits of it while reading.
EDIT: Having a moment of lightbulb-over-head-ness now. The I got to a point in the fic that I definitely remembered... and then said "Wait... didn't I finish this and post it?" Then there was lots of kissing and it suddenly occurred to me what I was reading. The middle portion of this story is my Obi/Qui boykissing fic from last year. I must have decided it needed more of a story around it because there's an extra 5 pages with stuff in the beginning and end. But it's making MUCH more sense to me now. Maybe I should go back to my LJ posts from last year and see if I mentioned anything about this fic. It's entitled 'Good Mornings'. It's still a little strange to read it, though. LOL

Date: 2005-08-11 04:38 am (UTC)Did you keep the title as 'Good Mornings,' though? Because the one you wrote for that request is called 'It Goes Without Saying'...and I can't seem to find any fic titled 'Good Mornings' on your site. :-)
By the way, if you ever feel the need to request something like that again, I'd be happy to, er, challenge you a bit. Hehe.

Yep. It's an unfinished fic (which is why I found it amongst all my other WIPs in the unfinished stories folder while searching for another WIP). But it's very close to being done. Should really only take an hour or two at the most if I can get the muses to cooperate.

Oh ghods are you going to make me write Snarry? ;-) I was just thinking about Harry/Draco earlier tonight and though I'll probably never slash them I told myself there was a better chance of me writing them than Snarry. Then I stumbled upon a fantastically evil SS/HP pic on
BUT I think the soonest I'll be asking for requests will be my annual December gift-giving thing. I'd love to make that a tradition because I had SO much fun with it. AND I still have that OC fic of yours to finish... and a gazillion WIPs on top of that. So I don't think I'll be asking for requests any time soon... though, hey, who knows when it comes to my muses, right?

December, eh?
I can wait.
I totally understand the squickiness, though. Heck, I'M squicked by some of the stuff put out there. There's a whole chan side to the genre that can get a bit...well...13 is a little too young for me to enjoy.
But, yessss, look at pictures, embrace the squick, come over to the dark side...
We have cookies! :-)
