Grrr & Yawn & Squee & other onomatopoeias
Aug. 26th, 2005 03:13 amGrrr! The theater I wanted to go see The Brothers Grimm in tomorrow doesn't seem to be showing it. DAMN! And I was going to do a recycling run at the same time since it's right nearby. Grrrrrr! I am not at all pleased with that! Don't know what I'll do now. Stupid theater! Why won't it show it? Now I'm stuck going to crappy theater or making the same drive as last week in a vehicle I'm not entirely comfortable driving all the way over there and back. The gas guage doesn't work so there's no knowing how much gas there is until I run nearly empty. *le sigh* Plus, it'd mean waking up much earlier than I wanted. Grrr. Stupid theater not showing my movie! Phoey on it! I'm so tempted just to sleep in tomorrow instead and wait for this to come out on DVD. My checking account would be happy with that for certain....... hmmm. I don't know... very tired I am. Tired and rambling muchly.
Not looking forward to the fixing of the car. Lots of money I don't have at the moment. Grrr to that as well.
I'm making fantabulous progress on the Spike fic I started in answer to shadowscast's weekly bunny. I'm very happy with it now. Apart from the fact that it doesn't really *fit* into the series anywhere much *bats away my canon bunnies*
Ohhh!!!! My aunt sent me a book today that she found in a Santa Barbara used bookstore. It's 'The Tolkien Companion' by J.E.A. Tyler (1976) in hardback. Squeeeee! Pretty maps, family trees, bios, elven language, definitions, and all the greatness of the Encyclopedia of Arda only in [offline] book form with far more detail and some illustrations. YAY!!!! She saw it and knows I write fanfic and thought I'd find it useful. HELL yes! *snuggles my new LotR writing companion* No more misspelling 'warg' because I can't get online! Whoohoo! *does happy dance* I love my aunt.
