I know I'm in the minority, but I want a president who is SMARTER than me, and who can SPEAK properly and professionally, not like some common guy off the street. And, preferably, someone who doesn't insult foreign dignitaries.

I wonder if it's possible that Bush isn't really as dumb as he looks - that he just pretends to be that dumb because it seems a lot of voters connect with dumb people. Maybe they equate dumb with honest. Maybe his stupidity is a better reason for his actions than sheer vindictiveness. Or maybe it's just the people behind him who are pulling the strings. But he can't *really* be that dumb, can he?! (I'm hoping the answer's "no", but that might be even more disturbing, I think...)
