Stuff & Fangirling

tarotgalA new Kyle's B&B comic was just posted and OMG I'm so happy with it! Best kiss ever!!!!! *snuggles Nick & Dave* I was immediately not thrilled with their characters because- hello!- attitudes! But I warmed to them both and the fact that they both share 9/11 tragedies is so good. And awwwwwwww but they're perfect for each other! Squeee! Best kiss ever. *re-reads strip for the 5th time* *happy sigh*
Spent the whole day looking at houses with parents (and writing a little Spander and Strokes fic around that). There were a couple possibilities (the best of which had a jacuzzi tub & shower in the master bathroom and a basement apartment for me... but also only a large crawlspace for storage and a pool- WTF is my family going to do with a pool? Nothing!) but nothing stunning.
The last house we went to was a riot. I swear to gods the previous owners were either using it for porn or drugs or possibly both. All the shutters and doors outside (including a large garage door) were bright blue. Inside, there was blue trim on the top and bottom of EVERY room on the main level. It had two offices in the basement, each with at least 10 LAN ports and cables. The whole house was wired- there was at least 1 computer port in every room and even the kitchen had a giant router in it. There was also a side room off the main "rec" room in the basement which was skinny (probably 10 by 3) which had only a light overhead, a chest-high shelf running the length of the room, and two large powerstrips afixed to the wall (just below comp ports). Upstairs they'd converted one of the 4 bedrooms into a GIANT closet, with shelves and racks and hangers all around. In the garage there was room for a car on one side and the other side had a very low-hanging, long light fixture perfect for growing, er, plants underneath. There was also one other light in there (separate from the main overhead light) which was very hot. We got a HUGE laugh over it... but... man... definitely porn and drugs. Except for the treehouse and swingset in the backyard. Which makes you wonder what kind of porn... ICK!
Also, they mailed my first two movies from Blockbuster today. *giggles madly* There's a Ewan movie in there, of course. I hope the service ends up to be something I like, after the 2-week period. I've read reviews from people in my area saying it got really bad/slow after the trial period. So we'll see. I hope it's good, because I like Blockbuster a lot and would like to continue giving them business.
Oh, and I'm going to get Kingdom of Heaven on the way home tomorrow. Yay! And next week Batman Begins is out! Yippie! Lots of Liam goodness. Oh, and Stay's release date moved from the 14th to the 21st. Which worries me since I was SURE to have the 14th off of work but I don't know about the 21st. So it might have to be a late movie. (I know, I'm a freak. But there's something magical about seeing a Ewan movie in theaters on the day it's released... it's a tradition I'd love to keep going). And OMG a month until RENT! SQUEEEE! I cannot wait!

(Because I recently got a Blockbuster Online subscription and have added a couple of his movies I hadn't seen before but don't want to miss anything spectacular!)
