Friday Five
Feb. 3rd, 2006 11:19 pmAh! It's still Friday! I made it just under the wire.
Unfortunately, I missed Numb3rs tonight because I'm an idiot and having the day off of work really threw me off. Drat again! But I watched the Caps game and Monk and our free month of Showtime hasn't ended yet so I FINALLY get to see two new-to-me episodes of Queer as Folk tonight. SWEET!
1. What is your favorite specialty restaurant (Italian, Mexican, Thai, etc.)?
My favorite is Thai, actually. With Chinese a close second. And a very close third is anywhere that serves breakfast foods 24-hours. I'm a breakfast food whore *G* But I don't think breakfast counts as a specialty food.
2. What do you order to eat there?
Thai- Anything with tofu and peanut sauce. NUMMY! Nothing spicy, though. I don't do spicy- I'm Irish :-)
Chinese- my favorite things are veggie fried rice and vegetable dumplings. I'd practically kill someone over good dumplings.
3. What is your favorite specialty food or dish to cook?
I don't cook. And, if I tried to cook specialty foods, no one (including me) would want to eat them, I promise you.
4. If you could travel to the home country of your favorite specialty food, what would you do there?
Oohh. Probably typical touristy things. Visiting temples, seeing art and historical landmarks, buying at markets, experiencing the culture...
5. What is your worst experience with a specialty food restaurant?
Um. Don't think I've had one? Hmm. Nope. I guess once I went to eat at a Chinese place and it took them half an hour to get the check to us *shrug* Not very interesting though. Typically I only go to places recommended to me by friends I trust, and I only try dishes that are safe or that I've tried before.
