Home Again
Feb. 19th, 2006 05:39 pmWell, I'm home from dog/house sitting this weekend. Poor USA hockey! And poor Canada hockey! *sobs* And Germany isn't doing well either (Olie! What's going on?!) so I guess I'm going to have to cheer Russia on (My Vechy!).
I didn't get any real work done over the weekend... damnit. But I worked on a couple fics I shouldn't have been spending time on (February Joe Boys story and the next parts of Too Many Cooks).
My biggest accomplishment of the weekend, however, was finally deciding how Nik and Sweetie are connected!!! This has been bugging me for years now, and I finally worked it out to my satisfaction this weekend. Don't know what I'm going to do with that information, but it makes me feel MUCH better about writing in the series now... even if no one else is reading it :-) I love my boys.

Some stories are finished, some are not (a bit of AIDS Walk can be found on this LJ back in Sept, and a bit of Fatherhood can be found on my writing exercise journal back in Sept). Some stories have sneezing and some do not. I highly recommend reading the Character Introduction series first. They should help keep people straight (no pun intended) especially when Coyote gives a brief into of everyone in the house to Marty. But, as you can see, I have a lot of works still in-progress. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to finish all the unfinished pre-New Year's stories. Because heavy stuff happens post-New Years (as you could probably tell from the Valentine's Day Fragment with Coyote) and I want to get the first stuff out before the poor Strokes characters are carted off to Hell in handbaskets.
Anyway, yeah, you can probably tell I'm obsessed with them. It's the first original series of mine I've been really excited about writing in years. So I don't mind that I get virtually no comments about them when I post the stories... I write them because I adore them.
But I'm still really, really glad to hear you read the two challenge fics and liked them! Yippie! I have a special crush on Coyote, I must say *blush* But I love all the boys (and girls), I really do. I'd never really written Ducky before (apart from, like, 3 lines in the New Year's story) so he was loads of fun to figure out for this one. I'm glad the horoscope I picked for the day the fics were due worked so well with a storyline for him!
Anyway... thanks so much for reading them- I'm very glad you enjoyed them. And I'd honestly *love* comments/feedback about any of the stories/characters when you get a chance. Don't rush yourself on my account! Take it easy and feel better, first and foremost!!!
