tarotgalAfter a few days of writer's block, I started writing a small ficlet to silverelf's giftpic to me *hugs* And then I got completely sucked into a Strokes story I started back in June. It's such an addictive story (Alone, for those of you who've read the summaries of my unfinished fics). I'm reeeeeeally excited about the story. It's only about half done, but it won't leave me alone and I love it *huggles*
Went to three stores yesterday and only one of them had HP4 on DVD!!! Okay, so they all had it, but they only had the one disk version and who the hell wants that? Target was the only one that had the two disk version (and only 7 copies of it) but they had a special "Target Exclusive holographic case cover" which was nice but, uh, covered up my Cedric. And they were selling it for $23.99. I don't want to pay an extra $3 just to have it with a cover I don't really want! LOL So I tried to get it off Amazon.com and need another $4.01 for my shopping cart to get free shipping. There's a book I really wanted but when I added it to my cart, that gave me $24.98. TWO CENTS SHORT! LMAO! So I dunno. I think I can wait a little longer for the DVD.. so maybe I'll wait until next pay day and buy it and something else like... HORNBLOWER! I really shouldn't be buying the Hornblower set, with my finances the way they are... since my car needs to be taken in again (boss says its leaking oil and mom says I need a new muffler and it's a few months late on an oil change). I dunno. We'll see. Worst comes to worst, I wait a month and buy it online when I buy The LWW on DVD. But, damn, I wish the stores around here had the right version of Harry! *pouts* What's their problem?
Oh and MY CAPS BEAT THE PENGUINS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SQUEEEEEE! Take that Sid! WHOOHOO!!! Okay, so they lost the last 3 games against the team, but they won the most important one and had a fun time doing it. So there! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was really exciting watching the game having been there just the other day. Not the same as seeing it in person, obviously, but I had an easy time imagining I was there. :-) And Witters is gonna get traded tomorrow *pouts* but he looks less and less cute every day now that he has an old 70's-Hockey moustache going on and there's an unofficial rule that only cute people are allowed to be on the Capitals. So I guess it's okay. He wanted to be traded so I hope he's happy wherever he winds up.
Did 4 loads of laundry today (two loads of towels, one just drying and folding left over from last night) and cleaned my bathroom. I'm feeling tired but productive. And still really high about my Strokesfic. I know I still have giftfics I'm WAY late on and a non SF challenge fic I really need to write. But Coyote's having such a bad time right now that I hate to abandon him...
Must remember to watch Noah's Arc tonight when it repeats on LOGO. I'm undecided about the show. Noah kinda bugs me... actually, two of the four main characters really bug me. But it's still strangely cute and entertaining and an interesting look at the culture. So I'm still watching it.
