tarotgalWhoa. I'm watching the Stars (boo!) vs. the Ducks tonight. Both teams have former Capitals players, but I'm still sort of rooting for the Ducks just cuz I hate Dallas- bad history, mean team. Anyway, the game is in-fucking-credible! ;-)
The teams are so evenly matched tonight... it's tied at 3-3 and they're enetering their FIFTH overtime. It's 1:30am right now and they've been playing since 7:30pm yesterday. The announcers keep telling us "This is the 8th longest game in NHL playoff history." and "Oh, now it's the 7th- no, the 6th longest!" Right now it's the FOURTH longest game ever. The poor babies look EXHAUSTED!!! And the Ducks goalie looks a lot like my boyfriend, according to my mother LMAO They're passing smelling salts around on the bench. They're SOOO tired, but it's an INCREDIBLE game!!! Some bad calls... some possible goals called off, but they're still playing. Wow. This is why I love hockey. Freaking tough men. Not like those sissy football or basketball or baseball players :-) GOT to love them!!!! :-) ANd the goalies have been AWESOME. *sigh* I love playoff season!!!
(Plus the stupid Lightning got creamed by the adorable Devils, so I'm happy)
