*facepalm*
After watching the last 3 episodes yesterday and today's episode tonight I've got to say it again: horribly predictable and baaaad writing. I won't get into spoilers/details now. I called out 3 lines word-for-word in tonight's episode, but some of these supposedly startling things/new information were things I called either at the beginning of the episode or waaaaaaaaay back at the beginning of the series. Obviously there's stuff I wouldn't have known about at the beginning, like the hatch and all that, so it's not like I'm able to see everything that happens but come ON! It's so formulaic, and so predictable it makes my head hurt. But, even so, I love the characters and want to know if my theories will come to pass. Still... gods... stupid writers... stupid show
And, no, I'm not being overly critical just because I have a huge case of writer's block going on ;-)
Idol last night... was just as I'd expected. I'm sooooooooo happy Chris chose the song he did- it's one of my absolute facorites and he's in a competition all by himself- he's soooo much better than the others. I can't believe they let Bucky sing Fat Bottomed Girls... it's so sexual and fetishy- especially the beginning. But it is one of the big hits so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I wasn't surprised that someone (technically two people) wanted to sing Who Wants to Live Forever but I'm THRILLED that Highlander was mentioned! WHOOHOO! Bet most people who watch American Idol have never seen Highlander, but it was great to hear it mentioned! And Catherine did a good job with it. Paris rocked as well- I was very surprised and astonished. It was just great to hear Queen songs, though. *happy sigh* Even badly done (gods, I hope Ace goes home tonight... and I'm so over Taylor), it was great. Haven't seen the results show yet... I taped it. Must watch it and then Unan1mous.
Speaking of Unan1mous... it's a HORRIBLE show, but if I were to create a reality show it would be the same concept. Brilliant- I just LOVE seeing human nature at work. And I bet even if they didn't decrease the amount and require votes and do all that other shite, I bet no group would ever be able to come to a unanimous decision about who should get the money. That's just how Americans are- just how humans are. It's fascinating to watch, even though I don't like anyone on the show at the moment. heehee

Date: 2006-04-13 08:04 am (UTC)The eps that I do have, I still haven't gotten around to watching though. It's just that I won't watch that show unless I'm willing to give it my full attention, but usually I just want the TV on for background noise. The other reason is that the last Charlie ep broke my heart and I haven't felt as much anticipation about the show since then, except for the Jin and Sun eps. Gods, I love that couple!
