Well, the good news is, I'm writing again. Whoohoo! I get terrified when the urge and ability to write goes away. Even if I'm writing crap I'm so used to doing it constantly that it's so conspicuous when it suddenly stops for hours, days or more. But it's back again and staying *knock on wood* except that what pulled me back is something that used to be a squick of mine but now I'm finding terribly pervy *facepalm*
It's like I'm in one of those coffee commercials where they switch my usual brand:
tarotgal comes home from a day of work. She drops her purse and keys on the shelf by the door and shrugs off her jacket. Then she pets her cat, stretched out on her bedspread, and heads across the room. The chair drops down a centemeter under her weight as she takes a seat at her desk, reclining slightly. She opens up a blank Microsoft Word document.
A deep, husky, male voice-over whispers: We've secretly switched tg's regular sneeze fetish muses with one that fancies Urophilia. Let's see if she notices.
Eagerly, inspiration strikes and tg starts typing away... and suddenly cocks her head at the screen. "WTF?" But she keeps typing, compelled to finish so as not to lose the urge again... and decides she kinda likes where it's going...
Oh, I'm a terrible person. And I fing love it ;-)

Date: 2006-04-15 04:26 pm (UTC)LOL No worries. I didn't think I could ever be so corrupted in that department, either. It's been a very strange last two days for me, coming to terms with a squick that no longer squicks me the way it used to.
I'm glad you liked the puppies' interactions, and glad you decided to give it a read and keep reading once you did figure out what WS meant (sorry, I thought it was just one of those well-known terms... like golden showers and piss play... but clearly I'm way too pervy to judge normal public knowledge any more LOL). Thanks for putting up with it/me and reading it :-)
Glad your block is gone and you're writing again!
OMG so am I! I feel so empty and incomplete without it. I actually worked on a sneezefic from the ABC series last night after I finished the R/S fic, so my muses are defintiely back. Whoohoo!
All righty, I'm off to work on this week's cover challenge over at BookCrossing! Must go hit library sale shelf!

Date: 2006-04-15 04:19 pm (UTC)Yeah... a few days ago (and even now) I'm not sure I'd call WS my thing either, so no worries. LOL It's a major squick for most people. And I didn't go very extreme with it for a reason. But I'm surprised and glad you felt it worked all right, thanks to Remus' insistance/passion. I suppose any person with any secret fetish could relate to that aspect, that desire to fulfill a fantasy with the person you love.
As for sub!Sirius... you bring up a very interesting point. I write a lot of dom!Remus... but even when Remus is the dominant one in the relationship, I don't usually write Sirius as completely submissive and helpless like this (I'm glad you thought the reason Sirius is stuck in the situation was fitting- LOL). But, once the scene in the bathroom started I was starting to worry about their roles. Like I said, I'm used to writing dom!Remus and him being the one who wanted to be claimed and the one who does the servicing afterwards, definitely puts him on the sub side. So I actuallty thought the fic would come off as just the opposite. Interesting indeed...
