Dentist & Squeeing

tarotgalWent to the dentist today for my 6month cleaning. It went well. No cavities but one of my fillings was broken and in need of repair (grrr- money I don't have). This old, retired dentist guy checked me over. I'd never met him before but he was a mix between grandfatherly and downright scary. He had his hands ALL OVER my head and neck and even put his ear right up to my jaw at one point. I mean, I understood why but I'd never had a dentist get that familiar with me before and certainly without any explanation of why (he explained later on he was checking for oral cancer). And the guy must have told me 5 times (possibly 6 or 7) not to smoke or use chewing tobacco. WTF? Once is enough, especially since I'd never go near either. *sigh* But no cavities. And significantly less bleeding all around- I was sooooooooooo thrilled about that and I wasn't even complimented about it. Just a "make sure you brush twice a day!" WTF? Uhhh yeah. I've been doing that since I could walk, thanks. *rolls eyes*
Anyhoo, I got home today to see that a package from OLN had arrived for me with the words "Quest for the cup" written on the bottom! Squeee! A t-shirt that fits perfectly, and a small towel, and a lovely black baseball cap, all with the NHL and OLN logos on them. Squee! Makes me very happy. Pretty free hockey stuff *pets* The game yesterday was crazy-wonderful. I hope those Sabers KILL the Canes! Carolina is sooo mean to my boys, so I want them eliminated. Plus the Sabers are due for some happiness after that crappy 1999 season. I don't care who wins the western conference, though. I love both teams. I just want the hockey to last as long as possible :-)
I watched RENT last night. And the Disk 2 special features. The alternate ending KILLED ME DEAD. OMG. I wasn't expecting that and it was soooooooo moving and that hand squeeze! RENT is love. No question. So excellent.
I also watched a little of the movie in French and was ROTFLMAO at the sound of the "Merry Christmas, Bitches!" line in French. heehee
But that alternate ending... gods... I'm glad they went with the one they did, because I wouldn't have been able to drive home after seeing the movie in theaters if they'd used that one. I can see why they felt it was wrong for the movie... but DAMN it was emotional for me!
