tarotgalInterview went all right. They seemed impressed. And I was honest about my lack of skills in an area or two and BSed my way through the typical question (where do I see myself in 5 years? Hell, I can't even see what I'll be doing a month from now! LOL) They liked the portfolio I put together over the weekend with websites I've done. They said they'd be making their decision sometime this week.
If nothing comes out of it... I think I might actually join their organization as a member anyway because DAMN they've got great writing resources. I was reading through their forum yesterday and there's a call for story submissions that matches a story I'm working on right now, actually. So I'm seriously considering finishing it and submitting it there. It would mean cutting a scene I'm in love with, but I might actually do it. Even if it gets rejected it'll be good practice for me.
Anyhoo... yeah, just wanted to give an update. All is well. I'm happy and just a little bit hopeful and more than a little bit scared. But, like I told them, if nothing else comes of it, I've learned about a great resource now for writing! :-)
