tarotgalUgh. My after-work meeting with other work was cancelled today. So I took back the leave I was going to use. My boss either hates me now or is completely confused. LOL But went over to do work after work anyway and had a good conference call.
My "old" boss is going out of town starting Friday with family until the 7th. I was supposed to house & pet sit for him the whole time but other people are going to do part of that. So it's mostly just Friday through Sunday or Friday through Monday. And their house is about 4 minutes from my work so I can pop over on my lunch break and check on the dogs on Friday.
I cleaned my shower for the first time since it was fixed and usable on Sunday. It was nearly impossible to clean. You have to stand IN it and close the door behind, otherwise water goes everywhere. But the shower is only big enough to stand in, not to move around in, so you have to carefully avoid the water spraying the soft scrub with bleach and straddle the drain so it doesn't touch your feet. Very awkward and difficult. I'd almost buy one of those spraying self-cleaner things but I hear the scrubbing bubbles formula is very acidic and intense and that's not a good idea for such a small area. But there's no way to wash it from the outside- I tried that, leaning in and scrubbing, but there's no way to rinse three of four sides without closing the door. So after getting drenched trying to clean the shower, I went to get out and remembered the bathmat and towels were in the washer. LOL Next time I'll be better coordinated.
I've so far managed to accomplish little tonight. I played around with my Strokes CD a little more (can you tell I'm in love with it? lol) and watched Big Brother (kill me now). But lately I've been spending 8+ hours at work, going to work at old job for 1.5+ hours, running errands, eating dinner at 8, and then doing absolutely nothing for two or three hours because I'm too tired to write. So I try to get something written for the next hour and a half. Then it occurs to me how very tired I am and how late it is. So I clean the cat boxes and shower and go to bed. Not a bad routine at all for a day (and it's just for Mondays and Tuesdays) but it's a tough way to start a week. I look forward to Wednesday Sneeze Fetish catch-up day :-)
I'm going to *try* to start writing Tina's birthday gift fic... and write a little more of x_posed_again's thank you gift fic. We'll see how it goes. It's only 11pm. The night is young :-)
