Think I'm getting sick. Or maybe it's just my time of the month coupled with the horrible heat. I've had a bad sore throat since last night and a headache all day. Just went out to run errands and I'm going to stay in and take it easy all day today. But just in case, I bought myself popsicles and a whole carton of juice.

Went to the library and bought another dollar's worth of used books for Bookcrossing... and for me. Got some good ones:
Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens (don't look like it's ever been read!)
Sexuality and the Psychology of Love (by Freud)
A is for Alibi (I've never read the series but how could I pass up the first in it?)
Elf Magic (a collection of 18 short stories about elves)
and...
Horatio Hornblower: Beat to Quarters (SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I also picked up The New World on DVD (rental) at Blockbuster to enjoy this weekend after I finish with Disc 4 of 5 of SG-1 Season 8.
That 3 for $20 sale they were having (when I bought Alfie, Stay, and Fantastic 4) was just changed to 4 for $20. DOH! Oh well. Until I have a time machine, that can't be helped.


Gonna do some work for Work #3 today... and work on some stories. I'll post Strokesfic 'Walking' tonight. There's no sneezing but there's some sort of h/c going on. (Depends how you define h/c)

I also have a book I really want to finish up this weekend. I promised it to someone on BCing and it's a dog book so I want to send it out before the dog challenge ends.

Well, I was *trying* to post it but someone keeps posting and distracting me... LOL

Just kidding. It's up now!

I'll probably watch the movie tonight. I'm sure I'll like it. I like nearly everything. But I'll try to remember to post about it.

And thanks for the well wishes. I still feel crappy but not horrible... just not perfect... I dunno. If I still feel like this tomorrow after I wake up I'll know something's up. I hate not knowing. LOL

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Hopefully some well-deserved downtime will do you good.

And popsicles are yummy! My cat gets excited every time I eat one, because she loves licking them. Every other cat I've ever had has been reluctant to eat cold objects, but Eowyn loves them. I don't know why, but it's so cute to watch her that I can't help but share with her...I'm not afraid of kitty germs! *G*

It's an interview done before POTC:CotBP, with Orlando and Johnny, and in it, Orlando is wearing a hoodie sweatshirt (with the hood up...too cute!) and looks semi-uncomfortable. He rubs at his nose, and then they cut away to ask Johnny a question and I swear I heard sneezes. Two of them. It may be wishful thinking, but I think it's for real. You'll have to let me know what you think.

I think I'm about to die. Especially since I have a thing for guys in hooded sweatshirts, too *is about to die* Now, there's no way to know if they were actually sitting side-by-side or if they just cut it that way... it could have been someone else... but OMG I'm so inclined to believe that it's Orli...

Damn, I wish I could figure out a way to save YouTube vids.

I know, it could have easily been the interviewer lady, and they do these interviews separately a lot of the time anyway, except that I think it's male. I doubt it's anyone behind the camera since the sound comes through too clearly, so until proven otherwise, I'm going to keep believing it's Orli. Furthermore, I'm going to do a little bit of extrapolating that sound to your fics...they're really not that far off how I imagined soft muffled ones of his to be. And yeah, I really wanted to save it too. :)

Good news: I think I managed to save it.
Bad news: I can't figure out how to play it. I need macromedia flash media player... and I know it's installed on my compuer, but apparently not as a standalone player. So I don't know for sure if it saved all right yet. Growl.

Yeah, I'm going to believe it's Orli, too. Because that nose rub is friggin cute enough already :-)

Ooh, I so hope you can get it to work so you can post it on your site for all to enjoy! It's too cute not to be shared!

Seeing that almost makes me wish I wrote/read RPS or real-person fics in general. Because I'm certainly gathering plenty of material about Orli to use.

For example, on the commentary track of the extended version of Kingdom of Heaven, Orli says that he got pretty sick during filming with flu and was losing his voice when the time came to do the inspirational rousing Aragorn-like speech near the end of the movie.

Also, I read an interview online (at a website for one of those silly teen magazines, no less), where he mentions how filming POTC:DMC was his most uncomfortable film shoot ever...even more so than the hot desert of Morocco in tons of layers and chain mail and metal helmets. It was because of the HUGE percentage of time he spends being soaking wet in POTC2. They had to keep wetting him down again, and dumping water from rain towers for the storms and so forth. And it must have been bad if he rates it worse than filming Helm's Deep. Soooo much daydream potential there I just can't stand it! *G*

What lovely annecdotes! I haven't listened to the KoH commentary yet. Makes me look forward to hearing the PotC:DMC commentary, too!

Seriously, though, poor Orli.

And, on the sound of the sneezes, they're really perfect. I don't want to sound all stupid rambling about it, but I love the sound of them.


Even though I apparently have Flash Player 9, I can't find it anywhere as a standalone player on my maching. So I ended up downloading this software: http://www.flashstreamworks.com/flvplayer/index.php
And it plays the clip perfectly. So, yeah, it'll be up on my next update. It's been a while since I added videos (like, before I went back to dial-up).
