Dogsitting again... and buying things
Aug. 29th, 2006 08:41 pmI'm going to be dog & house sitting again starting tomorrow until 9/1 or 9/2 for former boss. Hopefully, no house painter this time! So I won't be able to work on sneeze fetish stuff this Wednesday evening, I'm afraid. But I've been thinking about a few things I might discuss on the group tomorrow.
I still haven't done my Joe Boys story for August. It's kind of an obvious image, so I don't know what more to do with it. But I've written 2 of 7 of them while dog & house sitting so maybe this time will be just as inspirational :-)
Yesterday I woke up to puppet!Angel (squeee!) this time I woke up to Illyria and very sad Fred-music. *is sad*
I've been buying things. NOT good. LOL I bought some clothes over the weekend. Three shirts and two pairs of much-needed jeans. I took 3 pairs of jeans into the dressing room (one of them being 2 sizes smaller than the ones I wear now are) but I fit well into all of them. I've NEVER been shopping and the three pairs I try on all fit. It's completely foreign to me. I took them home and put them on and damnit, they both still fit and look good. CRAZY! LOL But much needed. My current paints are way too big on me. ANd I needed new sneakers. I've had the same pair for... at least 2 years now, maybe longer *facepalm*
And then, online, I bought two Lego sets. I couldn't resist. I bought one of www.BrickLink.com and the other off eBay. I got Lupin's Classroom and the Shrieking Shack, which have been on my wish list for years now and the sets are now discontinued and you can't buy them on the Lego site or in stores. Hopefully they'll be complete and good when I get them and I can have happy Harry Potter Lego fun. I already have the Remembrall scene from book 1, the Key Room scene from book 1, book 1 version of Hagrid's Hut, and the Marauder's Map sets. So I have little Harry, Draco, Ron, Snape, Hagrid, and Dumbledore. And now I'll have Lupin, werewolf!Lupin, and Sirius *G* And lots of pretty blocks to build nummy scenes of all sorts.
OKAY... I'm procrastinating. MUST work on Respect. MUST. I think I solved a problem I've been working on for a week now since I got edits back. So hopefully I'll have a final draft done this weekend.
