Well, I made my final run-through, wrote a bio I'll probably regret tomorrow morning and submitted Respect. Don't know what (if anything) will come of it. But at least it's out of my hands now! And I can concentrate now on a certain Strokesfic I'm dying to finish (it's been written in my head for WEEKS now, I just need more time to get it out of my head) and on a Spander fic I promised a wonderfully patient someone I'd work more on.
I'll be working on Saturday at my old job. My boss and his family keep calling me up with questions "How do I print photos from our digital camera?" and "I can't find those papers online. I don't know where to go to get them." and "Where did we save the file with the list of house expenses?" and "Where's such-and-such checkbook?" *sigh*
It's been too wet out to release a lot of Bookcrossing books and I still have a few left to release this week. Anyone want a copy of Lady Chatterley's Lover by any chance? :-)
I just baked two batches of blueberry muffins. Going to leave a few out for sister and father, then take most of them to work tomorrow.
Je suis fatigue. Going to go to bed now. I didn't get half the things I wanted to do tonight done... but I got the most important ones done. So yay for me!

Date: 2006-09-15 12:37 pm (UTC)I haven't been to write anything since my Amused fic(not my best). My schedule is still crazy with the kids and school and my husband has been around too much during the day.
I was thinking of ordering some of those cool ziploc release bags from BC - not that you couldn't use a regular ziploc but those looked cool.
By the way, someone journaled one of my releases for the first time! It was a month or two after I released but she ended up joining BC and re-releasing the book.
Glad you got all your important stuff done :)

Date: 2006-09-15 11:01 pm (UTC)As for the new fic... I'm afraid I'll have to write at least 10 (that I've planned so far) stories before I can post the one I'm working on now. It's set in fall of 2007... and makes more sense after reading things I haven't written yet that were set throughout 2005 and 2006. But hopefully I'll make good progress on those during NaNoWriMo so I won't keep you waiting *too* long. I'm absolutely excited about a ton of storylines I can't even remotely hint about yet. Growl!

I loved that, by the way. I still owe you fb on it! Bad tg!

Here's what's worse. I bought 50 of them (they arrived a week or two ago). But I haven't used them yet. They're so nice and cost money and I don't want to waste them! LOL I'm an idiot, I know. I got as far as to put books into 2 of them, but haven't released them anywhere yet. Yes, I'm an idiot :-)
I remember reading an article on BookCrossing about someone who released a book in one (his/her first release after buying the cherished bags)... walked away and immediately saw someone pick up the book, take it out of the bag, toss the bag into a trash car, and walk away with the book. The BookCrosser immediately went over and grabbed the bag out again! LOL Clearly that story got to me and is inhibiting me. But I really should try it. They're really nice bags!

OMG! Your first catch!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!! Isn't it awesome and exciting?! And she joined, too? That's more than a lot of people who've been doing this for years! I'm so happy for you! I shriek out loud every time I get a wild release catch (which has only happened 15 times for my 201 releases so far... I average about 7%).
Delayed journal entries like that are always amazing and suprising, though. I've only had that happen a few times. But I've seen some books on other people's bookshelves that were caught after a year and a half of being in the wild! Makes you wonder!
Anyway, congrats!!!
