So I got an e-mail from my college alumni association today. There's a special discount this on tickets for the Capitals' game Saturday. A chance to see the two Alexes on the ice? I'm so TOTALLY there! They're playing the Lightning. And they've got special gift packages with signed pucks and Hershey's candy for purchase. Ohhh yeah. Saturday will be fun! *does happy dance in chair* I'm go-ing to a ga-ame! I'm go-ing to a ga-ame!

And speaking of hockey... OMG the Flyers/Sabres game tonight? 9-1! Buffalo is crazy-good this season!

You are so lucky that you're team gives discounts. I was just talking to my friend in Texas who told me she gets Stars tickets for $10 for upper deck or 25 for rink side. She told me that she once sat next to someone in the lower deck who had paid $200! I've looked and looked, however, and can find no evidence that the Sharks have any student discount program...*gives evil eye* I envy you...

It's not a student discount program- I don't think we have one of those, either. This particular discount is a special alumni group night thing. It's not an every night thing, just this one, anual event the group put together for us. And it's not for rink-side seats, just the second and third floor seats. (about $17 off normal price).

However, our "Eagle's Nest" seats (4th floor) are only $5-$10 each on any given night. That's where I sat to see Billy Joel in concert... it's WAY up there. LOL Our rinkside tickets are about $100-$200, too, I think. That one time last year that I got free rink-side tickets for donating blood was very cool. But how neat it would be to have fantastic $200 seats for only $10! Unfortunately, you'd have to watch the Stars :-(

However you get the tickets it's still good that you get to go. I've never been to a game and don't have cable so I can't watch it on TV so I've deprived in that area. I have to go to sports bars if I wanna watch games. That's not too bad, though.
