Holiday Wishlist

This will be somewhat the same as last year...

A number of people have expressed interest in giving me something for the holidays this year, especially as I've already taken requests for fics. I appreciate all your offers muchly and hope this list will help with that. I really appreciate the offers and generosity, but there's no need to get me anything so don't feel badly if you can't squeeze me in this year around all the busy :-) I'm just posting this because so many people wanted to see it. There's no pressure or expectation what-so-ever.

My Wish List, LJ version:

• Art- I've got to open with the art- it's always my number one. As I'm such a bad artist and incapable of doing this myself, I would absolutely LOVE a drawing/art done for any of my fics. That would just be incredible and mind-blowingly awesome.



• New Fandom Sneezefics- I would LOVE a fanfic from any of these fandoms which aren't done much or at all in the SF world. Sneezing character in parenthesis: Day Break(Brett), Prison Break(Link or Michael or even C-Note or Sucre), NCIS(Tony, Tim, Gibbs, Ducky, or Abby), Numb3rs(Charlie or Don), Noah's Arc(OMG Troy or Wade), Boston Legal(Alan), Bob & Rose(Bob), Bones(Booth), How I Met Your Mother(any of the guys), Horatio Hornblower(Horatio, Archie, or Bush), Heroes(Peter), Brothers & Sisters(Kevin but NO Kitty involved), The Island(Lincoln Six Echo), Batman(Batman or Robin), Indiana Jones(Indy), Torch Song Trilogy(any of the boys), Alfie(Alfie, duh), Studio 60(Matt or Danny), The 10th Kingdom(Wolf), Latter Days(Aaron or Christian), The Man from UNCLE(Napoleon or Illya), Arthurian Legends(Arthur or Lancelot)



• Hockeyfic- No real persons, please, but I would LOVE a story starring hockey players. So preferably: sneezing involved, original characters, goalie yumminess, hugging after goals are scored



• Remusfic- There's no hiding the fact that I'm a Remus Lupin fan :-) I'd looooooove a Remus story. Either something snuggly and sniffly with Remus/Sirius, Remus/Marauders, or Remus/Bill or something pervy with the aforementioned pairings or Remus/Severus. I'm afraid I don't have specifics but any of the following elements make me absolutely melt with happiness: build-ups, reading!Remus, sick professor numminess, wrapping up in blankets, hooded sweatshirts. If it's a sneezing story, Remus in either the caregiving role or the sneezing role is great.



• Fics in general- if you want to write me a fic, I'd most love something of the slash variety with lots and lots of fluffy, snuggly smarm or something incredibly kinky and smutty (really the only things that squick me lately are scat and v-ing so you're relatively safe as far as kinks go, and my favorite kink to read is wanking *blush* and my second favorite is ponyboying *doubleblush*). I would *adore* a sneezefic or something with strong h/c themes but I do read and appreciate non-sneezing fics... so if it's something you think I'd like, go for it. I always prefer coldfics to allergy ones, but guys allergic to pets is a situation I love. My tastes in fandoms change frequently (sometimes many times within one day) but my current favorite pairings are: Spike/Xander, Obi/Qui, Sirius/Remus, Bill/Remus, Snape/Remus, Oliver/Percy, Legolas/Gimli, Matt/Danny(Studio 60), Danny/Jack(Stargate- Season 8 or before only), Logan/Kurt(X-Men), Brian/Curt(Velvet Goldmine), Aaron/Christian(Latter Days), Duncan/Methos(Highlander), Horatio/Archie, Horatio/Archie/Bush, Horatio/Bush. But you all know my long list of fandoms so if there's something else you think I'd like, go for it. And feel free to post a "what about this?" post if you think of something you'd like to write for me and are wondering if I'd like it or not.



• Feedback- Okay, I don't need it, but I do adore it. What a nice present it would be to wake up Christmas morning and find a bunch of reviews for my fics in my mailbox.



• Chocolate Frogs- I'm very, very slowly (because I can never find them in stores) collecting HP chocolate frog cards. I've thought of buying them on e-bay but I think that's cheating. Plus it would deprive me the fun of eating the chocolate. So, yeah, if you feel like sending me an *actual* present in snail mail, that's a good, small one :-)



• Fannish Christmas Ornaments- I've got a handful of fandom-related ornaments but I find they're a fun addition my already strange variety of Christmass tree ornaments. I'd love more.



• DVDs/Books/etc- Of course I've got a terribly long list of things I'd like. I don't actually expect anyone here to get me anything . But given the rest of this fandom-heavy wish list, I felt it made sense to mention :-) If anyone actually wants the link to my Amazon.com wishlist and can't find it with my e-mail address, let me know



• Dieux Du Stade Calendar 2007- I desperately want the French Rugby players calendar. Don't know how to get ahold of it as it seems to be "unavailable" everywhere. But just in case someone reading this has some experience with the sexy French Rugby players' calendar, I thought I'd mention it



• Surprise- surprise me with something! You could make me a (non-story-related) drawing/graphic/wallpaper of some sort or find me some icons(I need a good Easter icon and a good general 'Thank You' icon) or submit a bunch of bunnies to the weekly hatching system or claim some moods over at the SF132 group or make me a recommendations list of fanfic, fanvids, and/or fanart you think I'd like with summaries/comments about each or send me a whole bunch of photos of nummy boys or... well, suprise me! :-)

Oh, and I celebrate the winter solstice (Dec 21), Christmas, and New Year's. But I'll be tied up with gift fics for a while so even receiving a present in Jan would be a nice way to end things. And then my birthday's in April. So whatever whenever :-) But, again, just because I'm posting this doesn't mean you have to give me anything! :-)

You watch Heroes? That's amazing, I love that show. I was actually going to request a Peter-fic from you, but didn't think you'd know the fandom. All this gushing, and I can't write that fic for you. I missed the first maybe 4 episodes and don't know the character well enough. But isn't he amazing?

OMG! I loooooooooooooooooove Heroes!! It's one of my new favorite shows. I NEVER miss an episode :-)
Peter was the best in the first few episodes, when he was all "Bro, something's going on with me!" and his brother was an asshole as usual until they both flew together. Ha ha! But OMG I LOVED Peter in this last Monday's episode! So brave going into that, knowing what was going to happen but only caring about saving the world. HELL YEAH that's my boy! :-)

Hiro is by FAR my favorite character, hands down... but I don't think I'd enjoy a sneezefic starring him. I can picture him sneezing in my head and it doesn't do anything for me. LOL

I was quite used to the rearranging and cracking sounds after 6+ years of Highlander: the series :-)

But, yeah, you nailed it- that LOOK! Oooooh!

I seriously have such a love for characters like Batman or Xander or Peter who want to save the world but are "normal" with no extraordinary powers or who are not exactly sure what they can do to help until they find themselves actually doing it.

Buffy: Willow/Tara is the only pairing I can ship well.

Narnia: Gen, unless you can think of a pairing that isn't incest.

Harry Potter: I can't write Remus or Snape, and I'm sorry because I know you love them. And with the exception of S/R, I can only ship canon minus Haarry/Ginny. So any of those.

POTC: Any pairing, slash or het.

Desperate Housewives: Any pairing, slash or het. But keep in mind I missed season 1.

ER: Any pairing, slash or het. But keep in mind I missed the last several seasons.

Princess Bride: Any pairing, slash or het.

Cruel Intentions: any pairing, slash or het.

Moulin Rouge: I want to say any pairing, but I'm afraid you'll say Duke/Zidler, so I'm wary.

I seriously can't picture Charmed slash... can't wrap my brain around it. Especially since they're all pretty much related. Unless you go for Morrison/Leo or something... But, no. I do love Chris and Wyatt (*cough* not slashed)... especially post-series one. Gods, I wish they'd do a kids spinoff series. In one of the fandoms I requested (Latter Days) the same actor who plays Christian in that plays older Wyatt in Charmed. Soooo yummy that man *drools*

O.C.: Any pairing, slash or het. Nit the last 2 seasons.
I'm really digging this current season. But there really wasn't anything as magical as season 1, was there? The boys were at their perfect levels of drama and angst. I'd love a Seth & Ryan slightly more than friends. Wouldn't have to be slash all the way... just lots of closeness and no girls.

Buffy: Willow/Tara is the only pairing I can ship well.
I've never had anyone write Willow/Tara for me and that would totally ROCK MY WORLD!!!!! Lots of sweetness and snuggling. Maybe cuddling in bed together with a certain not-dead kitty cat? Before Willow starts going on her power trip, preferably. Or, maybe, Willow tries to use magic to cure a cold and it backfires and she needs serious love & caring? I did submit a bunny once upon a time I'd just love to see a fic written for. It's the Week 70-Fandom Bunny here:

Wouldn't you know it... I love Roger/Mark! heehee. Seriously, though, I'm still sort of hesitant when it comes to sneezefics in that fandom. There's such a level of perfection already when it comes to RENT that I don't feel the need for suppliments, really.

I don't know how well you know the fandom but I LOOOOOOOOVE Caspian and good!Eustace (oh gods, but NOT shipped together! LOL) I've ALWAYS wanted to read/write a sneezefic set during Voyage of the Dawn Tredder. Sniffles arising in one of them after one of the storms, maybe. I love when boys on ships are sick and sniffly... see the PotC details as well, LOL Or really either of the characters any time in their lives post-dragon island of Dawn Treader would be fabulous. But maybe you just meant CoN: LWW and aren't familiar with my favorite boyos yet. In which case, no worries and forget I rambled about them.

POTC: Any pairing, slash or het.
I like Will/Jack a lot. And if you feel inspired to write a sneezefic starring them set aboard the Black Pearl, that would rock. I haven't really been in much of a PotC mood lately, which is why it wasn't on my wish list. But I do love them so if something comes to you, you know I'd love them.

You know I looooooooooooove that movie! Anything set during the movie or prior to it, would so totally rock. Sebastian with a cold is just too delicious for words. Maybe he has to miss an important function/event. Or, oh gods, I know it's a horribly cheesy plot but it's one I've always loved: the old faking sick to skip something important and then falling sick anyway. That always gets me!

Moulin Rouge: I want to say any pairing, but I'm afraid you'll say Duke/Zidler, so I'm wary.
ROFTLMAO! MR is also one of those movies I like so much that I don't feel the need to read fanfic supplementing it. But I'm definitely not into any pairing with the Duke. Even if the commentary and deleted scenes imply Duke/Christian, I don't like going there.

I'd actually prefer it to be sort of a genfic, if you can do that with the fandom. I like lovesick!Sebastian... but I LOVE Sebastian in his early-movie manipulative, player days. Which was why I had such hopes of loving Cruel Intentions 2 but was utterly disappointed.

Yes, Will. But no worries if you don't want to go for it. Like I said, I love the fandom, I just don't get into PotC fanfic in this fandom the way I do with others, for some reason.

I hit a snag in that I don't remember when Tara and Willow lived together. I know it was at the manor, but then were they still in school? Or did thay live together at school too?

AHHHHHH! I just lost my whole long reply. CRAPOLA! *cries*

Okay... let's see what I can remember.

Tara and Willow met at school. Willow was rooming with Buffy and Tara had a single dorm room. Willow spent a LOT of time in Tara's room and that's where Miss Kitty lived, even though cats probably weren't allowed in dorm rooms.
Between seasons 5 and 6, they moved into the Summers' house, living in the master bedroom since Joyce was dead. They took care of Dawn when Buffy died.

They started college in season 4, so they would be in their last year in season 7 (end of series). So technically they lived together while still in school. If you remember epsiodes like 'Life Serial' Tara was living in the Summers' house and taking classes at uni also.

I'd loooooove to see a Boston Legal fic, too. I'm not sure I'd be the person to write one- the show is just so clever and humorous! But it would be fun. If you ever want to throw around ideas with me or co-write one... I'd be game.

That is something to think about. I don't think I could even begin to pull any of it off at this point. We just started watching the show, but I totally love it. I may get my husband(and me )Season1 and 2 on DVD for Christmas so that may help some.

Did you watch it tonight? I was so excited to be home from work early enough.

As for your story... a coworker was sick today and she said and did a few things that I thought were WAY too good not to put in a story... and Marcus would be PERFECT for it. OMG that's totally me. I'm so worked up and then I finally get home and I'm exhausted. And then at midnight I freak out because I didn't get anything done and pound out a few pages of crap until 2am and then I get no sleep and the cycle repeats.

My kindred spirit got me a magic wand for my birthday a year or two ago... apparently I'm either a muggle or haven't got the pronounciation right because nothing worked for me yet *sigh* But if I figure it out, I'll let you know immediately ;-)

I'm more worried about his characterization than anything else. Angry!Marcus isn't too difficult to manage... but sick & tough guy Marcus is a bit more difficult. Hmmm. I might have to think that over a little. But I've definitely got the plot (fluffy though it is) and the ending :-)
