Giftfic Update

I made a lot of progress with giftfics, but I'm not churning them out in the rate I'd hoped thanks to some busy work days, my own really busy weekends, and not feeling well. It's too early right now to say which I won't get done in time, but I'm issuing a warning that a few might have to wait until 2007 if I continue at this rate.


But the current stats, which are good, considering, are:
Stories to Write: 21
In Progress: 4
Finished: 7

I'm really hoping to get another done today... but I need to get at least three or four done today to stay on track.So we'll see. I'll absolutely write every request I get. It just might take me an extra month. Not having November to write these like last year and the year before is definitely taking its toll. But, like I said, we'll see :-)

That's still an amazing number of stories done in such a short time! Please take care of yourself and don't stress too much over this. I can't deny that I crave new fic, but I'd MUCH rather have you healthy and able to enjoy the holiday season.

Thank you for being so understanding :-) And thank you especially for not putting pressure on me to finish yours. I haven't really even started to think about it, to be honest (any more than the few posts we exhanged when you requested it). But I think/hope the story I wrote for BVB and the package I sent out to you yesterday in the mail will tide you over until I can get to yours.

Yay, a package! I love getting packages so much! And this one's actually for me. All the other packages I've been getting in the last week or two have been stuff I've ordered online as gifts for others. And while I love giving presents, there's something special about opening boxes and not knowing what you'll find.

And mmm, BVB's giftfic sounded nummy just from the request. I have a feeling she's getting enough bare sweaty elven skin for the both of us. ;-)

I find it pretty funny, but certainly understandable, that(with the exception of Lady K) all people who have posted saying it's okay to finish the fic late are the people whose fics I've already finished :-) I'm still not sure about Marcus' characterization, but yours was definitely a fun one to write *G*
But thanks muchly for being so sweet about an extension.

I'm joining the chorus of 'don't worry if mine's one of the later ones'. After all, it's a gift! Who puts deadlines on gifts? I'm just grateful you're writing!

Y'know, I might as well just copy&paste what everyone else has said here; definitely don't worry about finishing mine on time. Waiting will just prolong the excitement in getting to read it. ^-^

Also, I was going to make a post for this, but I figure mentioning it here will do just as well. I ordered your Yule and Christmas gifts off Amazon the other day, but apparently they won't ship out until January, and since I shop on Amazon.ca instead of dot-com, I have to have the package shipped to me and then mail it out to you. I can send you the other bits of your gift early, so you'll have SOMETHING to open this month, but the Amazon tidbits will be exceptionally late. That's why I don't mind waiting for my 'fic. :D

But yeah... I hope you don't mind. Like I said, you'll get SOME stuff in about a week and a half -- I have to finish shopping, buy stamps and a box etc. -- to tide you over. Aaaaand I'll stop rambling now. :D
