I'll generate the bunny tomorrow after work... *makes mental note* I'm just exhausted today.
Tonight I worshopped the Ace story I've been toying with for the last few weeks-slash-days. I edited it during my lunch break today, but still there was a lot to be desired. Like, I don't know, a point to the story. It needs a LOT of work- most importantly, I need to figure out why my dear Ace is so fucking paranoid. Ace is like a dance in contradictions... desperate to feel safe yet jumps right out there into danger at every opportunity. I adore Ace... I just don't understand Ace. And clearly that shows in an Ace story :-) So it needs massive amounts of work... but I'm feeling a lot better about it now.
And the leader of the writers' roundtable workshop is thinking of stepping down a little... she asked if anyone wanted to take over... and asked that when there were only three people in the room- one of whom was there for the first time. I said I'd do it if no one else wanted to- that I'd be happy to do it but maybe someone who's participated longer might want to.
So we'll see. But typically I assume leadership positions because no one else wants to. But then I ROCK in the leadership role. I just never go out for it to start with because I'm happiest being told what to do and following. As people at my job#2 would say, I'm a true blue-green who is comfortable borrowing red if it's to do good and/or help people out :-)
Anyway. *sigh* Ace. What am I going to do with that kid?

Annual Challenge
Date: 2007-02-09 06:44 am (UTC)The idea being that to encourage more people to participate in the annual challenge (maybe make it a bit easier?) that perhaps the quotes could be used as a summary for the submissions instead of actual text in the story. I have no idea if this will make any difference, or if I've thought of this too late, so I will not be offended if you don't like this.
It is merely a suggestion. Thanks for taking the time to read it, and sorry for all the run on sentences. It's getting late.
