Need Plot Bunnies

All righty. I've tried a bunch of things to snap out of writer's block: editing, switching fandoms, exercises, picking up really old pieces, etc. I even wrote a nice Obi/Qui WS fic. However, I'm still stuckith. No little voice in my head telling me what to write like usual.

So I'm going to try something new. But what I need is a plot/situation that grabs me... or at least something I can work with. I'm going to do something a bit different with it, but the idea itself is what I need help with.

Anybody have a smallish plot bunny I can play with?
Tomorrow I'll pick one out of all the responses I get and give it a shot. Thanks all!

Do you have a preference for SF or non-SF plot bunnies? 'Cause lately I've been dying to read a fic about someone with a nasty case of the sniffles/chills cuddling up in bed with a warm, purring cat. Inspired by my own very purry kitty, of course!

SF or non-SF? Either... I'm desperate. Though I do seem to prefer writing SF more than non.
Actually... if you don't think it's too strage for a cat to pop into Middle Earth (I don't know how they couldn't have them, with all the horses and barns and all) I think I could DEFINITELY write an elffic with that. I LOVE that whole sick guy with pet concept- definitely one of my favorite situations ever. But... yeah... oh, yeah. I can definitely work with this...

I would ADORE an elffic with this bunny! I have long had theories that cats and elves go together quite well, and actually have many traits in common, not the least of which are being pretty, graceful(mostly), excellent hunters, clean, quiet, and the pointy ears, of course! And I totally believe there are cats in Middle-earth! Faramir, Elrond, and Legolas all strike me as cat people, actually. I was going to suggest it originally, but I didn't want to do anything keep your muses latching onto a bunny by constraining it to any one fandom. By all means, write it! If it gets your muses/writing going again, we both win!

I spent my time falling asleep last night trying to think of some bunnies to post today. I thought of some specific ones but I realized this morning you were looking for more general situations than specific characters(I think.) I did come up with a few, hope soemthing might be helpful. Some could definitely be used in combination.
1. A character is sick away from home and family for the first time. How does he cope, who helps take care of him?
2. A couple with a underlying/unaknowledged attraction are brought together when one of them gets sick.
3. A character gets sick/hurt doing something really brave.
4. A character gets sick/hurt doing something really stupid.
5. A "tough" character is sick, and needs help(?Maybe at work) but can't bring himself to ask for help.
6. Two guys - coworkers/friends are sick and stuck together either working or being sort of stuck somewhere so neither can get home to bed.
7. Someone you think would be a terrible caregiver shows he isn't.

Oh, specific is fine, too. Specific is great, actually (if you want to re-post with specifics, feel free to do so).
